And he's never taken a hit like Jericho did in the 2008 ShowdownLuckily Jericho only played 33 games. Atkins has doubled that and there's no signs of him getting dropped

Gold Coast must feel they are a chance to break the duck against usHave you seen Carlton and the Gold Coast?
Anything is possible
We don't play them again this year.Gold Coast must feel they are a chance to break the duck against us
Yeah but they would still feel a good chanceWe don't play them again this year.

Tex seems to have turned out OK...
Actually, they're nothing alike. Walker didn't even debut in his 1st year - he spent the entire season at Norwood. Fogarty has already played 8 games, and we're only 12 rounds into the season. Walker's form in that first SANFL season was superb, Fogarty's potential is obvious but his actual achievements are almost non-existent.
Even if there was a valid comparison (which there isn't), Tex has benefited massively from the tough love he received in his first few years. There's no reason to think that Fogarty will suffer from being dropped occasionally in his 1st season. He has a massive future ahead of him, even if he's not ready for the AFL competition just yet.
Can't remember what game it was now but he definitely copped a big hit over near the boundary and got up holding his shoulder and went straight off after that and was off for quite awhile. The club's hardly going to telegraph that he's playing with an iffy shoulder but for either of the Crouch lads to not lay a single tackle in a game is unheard of, a repeat would signal all is not well.Has there been any word on Matt? Last week was only the second time ever he has played a full game and not laid a tackle - he averages 4.5 over the past two seasons, so contrary to suggestions he doesn't work both ways, it is not like he doesn't defend. Saw a few here suggesting a shoulder? Was there any updated scuttlebutt?
I'm sorry but you're wrong about Pannell, he absolutely did not pay 15 frees against us.I can guarantee you I am a fanatical Crows fan. I absolutely despise the Hawks and have done, ever since they were given the 2012 PF with, the fourth worst umpiring bias I've ever had the displeasure to witness.
BTW (OT I know) worst umpiring bias I've witnessed.
1) SANFL Late 60's early 70's (not sure) Woodville V South Adelaide.
Umpire tried to bribe players before the match to throw the game. One player who exposed it was Peter Darley. Woodville won in a canter with ridiculous frees being paid all day.
That umpire was caught out because he'd bet on the game. Was later diagnosed with mental health issues I believe.
2) Our 15 frees to 1 mate Troy Pannell.
3) Richmonds umpiring gift GF 'win'.
4) Nicholls (in particular) 2012 PF![]()
For ****’s sake, will you stop with this bullshit?
Tex was never dropped again after Craig left the club. Never. Again. I guess that was just the coincidence of the century, and Tex’s journey of improving his defensive skills magically reached its zenith the week Craig got the arse.
Yes, there was some fairly silly commentary after the game pointing to his lack of tackles as evidence of him not bothering to defend rather than the more obvious point given his history that something is not right with his bodyCan't remember what game it was now but he definitely copped a big hit over near the boundary and got up holding his shoulder and went straight off after that and was off for quite awhile. Don's natural instincts is to turn to older players as he wrongly feels their performance will be more consistent. Also i assume he feels less blame will be placed on him when older players fail. This is a failed strategy for now and in the future.
All about the spread. Thats what has cost us badly, thats why Cey was dropped. Cey, Greenwood and Mcrouch are unfit or sore because they have cost us this yearWorks for Richmond , and works for most teams that play against us ... pressure , tackle , gain possession , spread , over the back goal .
Not the coincidence of the century... just the difference between a 4th year player and a 1st year player. For ****’s sake, will you stop with this bullshit?

What a stupid argument. Oh, look who's giving you likes for it - the Adelaide Board's dumbest posters. A who's who of my ignore list, all put their because of their unmitigated stupidity.

MackayWhere's the drive coming from?
In their defence they were never meant to carry the midfield for half the year....they did a great job until they themselves got banged up....and that’s after no doubt being run into the ground by the moronic fitness staff. All about the spread. I have a lot of respect for the effort CEY and Greenwood have put in.
Our midfield was supposed to be Crouch, Crouch, Sloan, Gibbs ....with Douglas, Greenwood and perhaps CEY running through at times.
Alas....a midfield we will probably never see play together. ....thanks Burton.
