Preview Changes vs Pies

As the dust settles on a narrow loss... time to reflect and come up with some changes.

Out: Pratt / McMahon and McKinnely
In: Harper and Speight

Really needed some brilliant pace today... lucked out in the end.

Time to play the kids and get some games into them... cannot see us making the 8 now (happy to be proven wrong)

(Note: McMahon out for the late 50mtr and i think the backline shuffle will allow a faster team to be played... he may get a reprieve after i see him smash Revoldt in the last)

Lose 3 on the way home and we can still make it, just.

Pace is needed and so is skill. Speight needs to play four quarters and even someone like Urquhart could be interesting to look at. Pratt and McMahon won't be in the 22 next year so time to move at least one of them to the VFL.

Reckon you're being harsh on McMahon OP, he was our best defender today, made some really good decisions under pressure.

Pratt and McKinley are the obvious ones to go and possibly Thomas as well.
I'd be looking at guys like Atley, Campbell, Speight. We can't go in too light though against the bigger bodied Pies players.

As stated in the note... McMahon was for yet again giving 50mtrs... as with Pratt... they are killing us!!

S.Thommo looks a lot better when Pratts not in, and McMahon should get a kick for the undiscipline acts

By playing the kids fast tracks development, injects us with some speed and class as well..

Get rid of the slow old plodders, and lets build for next year..

I think that we could do with another crumbing type up forward. If we are going to kick it deep to Petrie we need another permanent small to get at his feet, and lock the ball in. Either Boomer (or Patch) plays deeper and we bring in another mid, or Flash comes in. Lindsay to me plays too far up and doesn't get enough front and squares deep. When he does he gets smashed and because of his poor acting record, needs to be just about killed before he gets a free now.

Surely Firrito and Pratt are gone before Mcmahon. Personally I hope by this time next year all 3 have been replaced and are no longer in the best 22.
