Changes vs Port Adelaide

I know it's early but there could potentially be a ton of changes for next week's crunch game.

David Mackay has injured a hamstring, no idea how serious because of this terrible coverage, but I'll assume he's going to miss a few. I hope it's not going to be a constant hamstring complaint like 2007.

Walker must come in, Tippett is our best ruckman but when he goes into the ruck he leaves a massive hole up forward.

I'd like to see Phil Davis come in after a 30 possession, 8 mark BOG performance for North Adelaide.

Out: Sellar, Douglas, Reilly, Mackay (inj)

If Tyson Edwards is fit then either drop Symes or leave Shirley in the SANFL.

Walker has done **** all besides 1 decent half in the last 3 weeks.

Well that's really reflective of how he's done is it? 6 goals against Central, struggled in a side that got thrashed to North, and then Norwood had the bye. He's got to play.

Sellar doesn't look up to it, Maric is back to his early season form, Tippett's been forced to ruck today which basically sends the message that our 'ruckmen' aren't performing. Take Kurt out of attack and we're left with a host of short people, Walker's got to come in.

This saints game will be of benefit to us come next week imo. Port won't play at anything like that sort of pace; we should handle the pressure markedly better. Blooding Phil Davis isn't a bad idea. Can't get rid of Sellar if we want to continue with Tippett up forward.

the only thing I would say is our ruck department is abysmal.

Injuries will be interesting to see. Mackay, Dangerfield and Porplyzia all came off this game.

Is Edwards just a 1 week precaution or is he gone for the standard 21 days?

Assume that Shirley and van Berlo will be available again.

Walker has to come in for Sellar; Maric to ruck for all but the middle 5 minutes of each quarter, where Kurt covers it.

Apart from that, VB/Tys in for Douglas (Healy reckons Tyson will miss another weak, so VB in).

If Mackay is injured, then the idea of Davis in with Otten moving into the middle isn't a bad one.

As much of a star as Burton is he wasnt ready to return to AFL and should have spent another week in the SANFL. Dont seem him being dropped now though. Walker HAS to come in even if this means craigy swallows his pride and allows him to return. Sellar wasnt good but the crows had to give him the chance to show what he has or hasnt got. Martin was sensational and should stay in the side. Lets hope VanBerlo and Edwards are able to return.

Whether or not they switch Tippett back into the ruck rotation, as they did second half today, I'm not sure. Will probably have to. I can see Davis coming in for Reilly, who was once again completely out of his depth trying to be a defender.

Burton was not ready today. What happend to being picked on 3 week form? Burton only had 2 games back from injury.
Hard to say ins and outs yet as we do not know the full extent of injuries etc.

Burton looked like a man who hadn't played for 10 years. Hentschel looked more comfortable on return. I'd suggest Burton could be out next week.

I suppose desperate times call for desperate measures. Our once promising ruck stocks are now looking pretty average. Sellar has had his few games. So are you suggesting we delist Griff without giving him another go?

That was an inexcusible preformance i know the Saints are a better side but thats no excuse for no effort from all but a SMALL hanfull of our players!

And to all those who say we shouldnt trade for a Griffen etc i ask you who today besides the man who should be our next captian put in a decent midfield preformance we cant expect him to carry the load each week

I think Griffin is being suggested as he has more upside then Maric and Sellar hes a bigger unit and should be told the number 1 ruck spot is yours for the rest of the season its clear our undersized ruckmen are not up to AFL standard and Tippet Must Play Forward
