His logic is sound actually. If the umps won't/can't then SURELY there are a few blokes who can and would. I agree with his sentiment of not wanting the bounce to disappear. He really shouldn't be a commentator, but he doesn't deserve half the s**t the others throw at him.

We have umpire specialists for the goals, for the boundary, for score reviews.

We have runners and trainers all over the ground.

ALTERNATIVELY we could make the umps full time and accountable and FORCE them to practise enough. But that's a silly idea, I mean... Who would possibly WANT better and more accountable umpires? Laughable.
