I see this point. And maybe I'm just blinkered, but honestly, Ablett is genetically and physically a beast. He's not the other players. Scott is on record saying he doesn't love to have him. Of ALL the retired players the last few years, only enright looked like he could go on, and they begged him to. For what it's worth, they're pleading with lonergan to go on at the moment too. It honestly is horses for courses, as it should be.

Only enright looked like he could go on??? Another has just kicked 43 goals in a season.

Hi Grimoz, The rumour was stoked repeatedly by Craig Hutchison over many weeks, presumably because of his friend Liam Pickering’s interest. So it’s not unreasonable to have seen it discussed. The huge relief is that it has not come to pass. The idea that Cockatoo might have been swapped for Ablett would have led me to not renew my membership next year or possibly ever. As the saying goes ... go Catters!
