Bit of a 2016 round 3 v hawks feel about this one - a test to see if we’re the real deal

I never knew that, and it seems like the bookies mustn’t know that either because they have us as slight favourites. I would have thought, given that record, that we would be the underdogs despite our good form. The Crows at home is like trying to beat Geelong at Kardinia Park.
Incorrect. 2015 R4, 2016 R7. Haven’t beaten them since 2016 at Adelaide oval.

Really excited about tonight and particularly how the new defensive template holds up

Thought the Adelaide game was probably the worst we defended all of last year, we were completely lost. No one defended the lead up and Walker and Fogarty were able to take free marks about 70m from goal and then no one was in position to defend the next kick either and Thilthorpe had a field day. 25 marks between the three (10 of those inside 50) and 11 goals. Looking forward to see how we've prepared for them tonight

Both those games were in Melbourne

First one was the Stringer game where he kicked 6 before 3QT. Second one was the infamous Pannell game that Adelaide claim cost them a premiership

Bit different because we are more advanced and rated now but...

R4 2015, we are 3-1 but facing the minor premiers Sydney at their home and expected to be taught a lesson. That rainy win was the moment we realised we were contenders.

This time we are 2-0 facing the minor premiers at their home. Hopefully this can be that epic belief building win too!

The New look Bulldogs defence is largely get numbers around the inbound ball and crash. Primarily pushing the ball out of play, while we back in our superior clearance to exit 50.

As as I'm concerned, this is our first test against bigger bodies and a more organized line. Huge match!

correct. That’ll teach me to use AI for my facts. As you were, all.

The last time we beat Adelaide in Adelaide was in 2010. A tough win at Football Park in very heavy conditions. How are we $1.82 favourites? I hope whoever is putting money on us wins big tonight!

All good

We’ve only played Adelaide at AO three times, so it’s a pretty small sample size considering they moved there in 2014. Not pretty reading though

2017: 104-45, lost by 59
2018: 63-26, lost by 37
2024: 111-72, lost by 39

Have pity on me as I’m stuck at a 1st circle of hell social event that is devoid of tv’s. And where every glance at my phone is likely to result in a slap upside my head!

The last time I was in Adelaide was during the Easter holidays in 1976 - 50 years ago next month. I hear it hasn't changed much...

I’m sure I’ll get wound up as usual once the game starts, but feeling pretty relaxed right now. As long as we don’t get blown off the park it’ll be a solid three weeks with an easy kill to come after the bye.

Get through this first eight games around 5-3 and we’ll be primed for a massive year. Win tonight then we should be looking at 6-2 or 7-1 and the lid will be off.
