I’d rather have a pissed off Tim Kelly playing at Geelong next season than giving those self entitled overrated pricks a top 10 pick plus Brander:drunk:. If we can win a GF without Gaff, Nic Nat and Shep, imagine what we can do with them in the side.

How strange is it that the AFL media talk up Lycett like he's a gun, meanwhile Hickey is just some campaigner.

Despite the fact Hickey stacks up well against him in most statistical areas.

Ain't no 5 year offers for Hickey I tell you that much. Perhaps because he's been dropped a few times? Or his team is a laughing stock?

He's not a bad player. He's just not good either. Same as Lycett.

Yeah best stay away from the scientific victory. Essendon tried that a few years and it didn't go well. We just need to load up some trebuchets and phalanxes and we will be fine. Hanging gardens and the great library would be cherry on top.

Pyramids is an absolute must.

Yep, both just fairly average rucks, around the same age as well so it's not like Hickey's 32 or anything.
I thought Scott would out point him around the ball but Hickey averages more contested possessions (at a higher DE%) and more clearances in the middle and around the ground.

Im pretty sure the AFLs fa formula will screw us regarding Lycett. Everyone is saying (19) ish, where it will probably fall mid 2nd round or even end of second round similar to S.Selwood :(

It can't be mid second round.

It's either Band 2 which is end of 1st round, or Band 3 which is after our second-round pick, which because we're premiers is end of 2nd round.

Yeah ok our cap will be tight ....maybe govs contract is back ended

In two years how will we keep yeo .....Shuey ....

Good problems to have I suppose

Couple years will have a few retirees I guess. Kennedy/Schofield maybe 2 more years. Naitanui will be on less money.

Mate its a very good problem. Just like if we get Kelly, one of our premiership players makes way. Its great to a have a solid list.

Now gaff is staying you can almost guarantee it.

West Coast star Andrew Gaff turns down a lucrative long term offer to go home to Victoria. In other news Fremantle reigning club champion Lachine Neale, a South Australian native, wants to join Brisbane, a team which consistently finished at the bottom (of course they will be better than Fremantle soon but still) of the ladder. This has been a fun year, hasn't it?
Culture.

Isn't durable.

Pathetic number of hitouts per game. Tap ruck work is poor at best.

Can't soccer a goal from 2cm out.

Jumps for ruck contests 5 minutes before the teams arrive to the ground.

Can't a slot a goal from 15m out in a grand final. Shanks another shot 10m (mercifully into Darlings lap) in the same game under no pressure.

Tries to backflip after making his intentions clear he'd like to return home.

He's just not a very good ruckman. Competent yes, with Vardys help, but he's no great loss. I'd rather the compo pick.
Come on. It's a bit early to be pouring s**t on a premiership hero. If he leaves, so be it. But he'll still be a WC premiership player who, along with Vardy, stepped up and played above themselves in our three finals, where they teamed up to beat Grundy, Gawn then Grundy. Whatever happens from here on, Lycett deserves a measure of respect for what he did when it counted. He's not a superstar, but he did a job when we needed him to.
