The trigger makes me think he will be traded. He fills a need for the GC - has proven his worth this year and if he didn't have that trigger clause then he would have been a restricted free agent and could have walked for nothing. I think we triggered it to potentially use as a trade. Possibly this has already been agreed to behind closed doors.

GC can say they'll accept the best offer but JOM doesn't agree to the trade, then it does not happen. I.e. Ess make the best offer , GC say yep, omertà says no, trade does not happen

All sorts of backroom machinations and plans will be worked out by the gestapo to try and stop him and mitchell comming to the Hawks. Players use go home factor as an excuse to leave a club/state they don't wanna be in don't buy homesickness is ever a real reason. Opportunity to win flags and money a much bigger driving force. Players want to play in vic if theyrr from there because its the home of football and much more opportunities off rhe field, media etc
