Enchant can be a beast latter though, but yeah it's hard to control everything, that's why I've yet to try LD as well as much as I want too..No Chen for me either :)

Last couple of new Randoms for me are Clinkz, Naga and Invoker. Though on Invoker I didn't really get to play as I got DC for some reason. But geez he looks so hard to play as.

Actually haven't played Alch yet, and he is considered one of the best Hero's atm in Captain's mode. So I should give him a shot next time.
Quite difficult to master is Alch. Seems simple enough but not hard to stuff up.

The new meta in pro competition is support Alchemist for the great stun and minus armor.

Carry Alchemist is a little harder since 6.79 removed his ult's massive HP buff and replaced it with massive regen instead.
It's even harder in pubs where it's difficult to get a support that can actually leave you to farm in peace.

I kind of went ok in microing BM's bird and pig and Brood's spiders (although that's not too intensive) it's just I have no clue how to jungle, really need to watch some Purge vids.

LD will be difficult because the bear is not disposable and you have to manage 12 item slots.

Just got back into this last night. Now I remember how frustrating it is when you are losing lol

I really wouldn't mind an option to end the game say after the 30 minute mark if everyone agrees to it.

I still love using WindRANGER and Keeper. Supports ftw

Yeah Jungling can be difficult to stack camps etc the timing is strict. I should go vs the bots to practice doing that.

lol@ LD I'd probably forget the bear half the time anyway!

Have you seen new Purge's Team play?

What is the new support meta for Alche? A friend attempted it, but struggled to roam early on, which cost us dearly as he wasted too much time hiding, and not getting any farms for items that would benefit him. Haven't played him for a while now, so I'm still only familiar with playing him as a hard carry.

With support Alch, it probably helps to have another support roam with you as well to gank. Look to gank mid and the offlane as much as possible. (Wait until level 2)

Stack camps for your carry and when going into fights, just acid then concoction and that's really all you need to do. I'm not really an alch player so maybe someone else can give other advice, I'm just going on what I have seen in Pro games, he is extremely flexible now.

League has that (yes, yes I know) one of the looming omissions you notice when going between the two.

Is there a specific strat when you buy your starter items for support alche? From what I saw, a friend bought a smoke and left it at the fountain (he only used it when a opportunity came up, or if mid lane was struggling badly), had a few clarity/healing salves and branches, then hid in neut camps, and waited patiently for a chance to kill. Although this back fired big time for us, because he was often lining up against heroes who are too difficult to kill at the start. Eventually this led to being fallen behind on gold/levels

Sounds like his items where ok, I would go tango, mana, ward and smoke. But he needs to roam with support of his own, like a maiden/visage. The good news is, after 30mins or so, you can switch him to a carry build as well.

Have a look at this vid of Purge playing a support Alch. He goes more in depth and is a much better player then me :p But this is what you would do as a support alch.

I'll definitely give support Alche a shot, looks like a lot of fun if you're surrounded by the right heroes, and like you said, he's flexible enough to transition from a support to carry after 30 minutes, so plan B is pretty much set :thumbsu: One thing I did notice was Purge was nicely rotating around the map for exp/gold, which was what my mate didnt do, as he relied heavily in killing heroes for gold/exp, and then there's the teammate stacking up camps for the Alche, which looked like to make a lot life easier. Had to stop watching after 30 minutes though since im wary of getting capped this early in the month :p

Yeah you have to roam with him, he's too important to the team to stay still, because he's so versatile I would say he is one of the best supports already, but still needs farm to be successful.

I haven't seen them play but I read where he's going to Korea with friends to try and win a few tournaments as the competition there is pretty low. I think they want to try and in a small way grow the pro Dota scene there which has been dominated by LOL.

He's always said he's not a pro level player but he produces by far the best learning material out there.

Yeah they're in Korea right now. The have some talent in the side, the guy playing their carry looks good. And purge was solid too.

Had a shocker playing public ranked games today. Been a month with bot practice, humans are less predictable lol. 3 games 3 losses :(

It's just so hard to coordinate if you don't have at least one other to communicate with.

Had Chaos and ES bot against Mirana and KOTL, absolute disaster, harassed out of decent farm, no gank assist. Team fail.

Am I the only one who plays better with humans than with and against bots? The bots frustrate me, they never miss last hits unlike humans and they don't make bad decisions in when to to gank and when to back off.

I played Chen for the first time doing my A-Z hero challenge and won! There was an early leaver but I'm going to count it because Chen was bloody hard and the leaver rage quit because we were doing well. Bit frustrating that in that game noone would go solo hard lane. It was if they've never heard of it before so I was stuck between jungling and helping out the Lifestealer in lane. Also because Lifesteal got harrassed a little too easily it meant he had to compete for mmy jungling gold and XP to farm up. Then Lycan came along complaining he needs farm and also started jungling :(. Thankfully the other team were stupid and we got easy ganks in that lane. Good warding (or at my level ANY warding) helps.

lol yeah the bots are cheap! But I love to kill them, because I know I have beaten a dirty cheat!

Easiest way to beat them is with AOE Spells like Lich, Kunkka or Warlock. Also get Jakiro, he is one of the worst bots and will feed them, but his icepath murders the enemy ai since they like to bunch up.

I tried Enimga, after our talk about microing and I did quite well, his Blackhole is amazing!

So now gearing up to try LD...;)

Enigma with LS, ranged and decent support is killer! Get your opposition bunched up and the fight is done.

Argh.. Just played a game vs the bots and far out they're dirty cheats! they do like 40% more damage then if you where playing as them and they can hit Slark in his ulti and that just cost me the game... :(

Can't believe Valve would be that cheap with them....
