He’s got 2 years to win one then Sam Walsh will start winning them.
speaking of which there's talk of Walsh extending his contract before round 1 why on earth would you extended it when another club could offer you a million a season from year 3 of your career.... hell Carlton might even offer you that if you prove yourself... you'd be able to demand anything if you're Walsh and go to whatever club you want. He should view Carlton as an apprenticeship

Imagine putting off contract talks before you've played a single AFL game. LOL.

They are probably worried the crows will pinch another of their players :)

Im happy to take on the Suns to beat the Blues in R4, paying ~$3.50 with a +24.5 handicap at Metricon.

Might be a meaningless preseason trial but both teams will have wanted to get a few early wins here.

Come on down Pick 1 and Pick 19, 2019 Draft.

Would be hilarious if the general consensus worst team (Gold Coast) way outperformed their talent and finished above Carlton, relegating Carlton to last place.

GCS were short priced favs last season at $1.40 to win the spoon with the Blues around $4 in 2018.

Carlton win 2 games and everything is fine with Carlton posters because they get pick 1 again for the 5th time this century.

well then.... hey Carlton Pick 1 and 19 for Cripps please
Pick 1 in theory is enough as we could take him back via the draft. Would be funny to land him with their own pick... but can't see it myself.

Have said a number of times GC won’t be as bad as people think

(Yet to be proven)

Crows fans should be keeping a close eye in GC this year. They could potentially be the catalyst in us getting pick 1.

From what I understand the GCS are offering Luko and Rankine contract extensions next month. Yes this early. Should those talks fail or be postponed, it may be an indicator that one or both may be able to be poached with our pick 1 from Carlton.

Contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on these days anyway but Luko and Rankine don't really concern me. Pick 1 is still a valuable asset regardless of what happens with those two.

dereregister them as a club, they are solely responsible for their incompetence.... may as well ditch gold coast too and get back to 16 teams
And all the clubs get to pick two players concurrently from their lists.
Picks are assigned alphabetically

Adelaide Crows pick first.
Welcome home Izzac and Jack.

Booyeah.

No way are we getting 2 guns for pick #1.

How do you know that?

Gold Coast CEO Mark Evans says discussions will take place in the next month about extending the contracts of Jack Lukosius, Izak Rankine and Ben King.

“We’ll have discussions about that in the next month or two,” he told SEN’s Time On.

“There have been some preliminary discussions, but not tracked far enough yet to say that we’re close.”

The Suns chief says the chances of the three featuring in Round 1 will be assessed after their performances in the JLT Community Series matches.

Imagine living with the guy who is trying to get you to sign a new contract.

You'd think the trouble GC got themselves in over paying kids one year into their contract having them struggling to keep player, that they'd be more circumspect with their list management

It's like asking a girl to marry you after a first date

Run for the hills Jack & Izaac!
