I assume not great.. We lost by 40 points. Had to look at Werribee's twitter page to get the result.

Yep Jon Ballantyne beautiful kick , but wasn't much for taking a mark under pressure. Traded to Pies for a bag of chips
Did pretty well after we traded him? Pies put him at full back whereas we had him forward

Hmm didn't go that well, 9 games in 2 seasons with the Pies then did his knee

Wiki:

Footscray

Ballantyne debuted with the Bulldogs in 1990. He was used mostly as a spearhead, at a time when Danny Del-Re was considered the club's first choice full forward. Consequently, he managed only 20 games in four full seasons, although his return of 46 goals suggests that he was able to get amongst the goals when he was included in the team.[1] As a Footscray player, Ballantyne headed the Reserves goal-kicking table in 1990 (64 goals) and 1992 (79 goals).

Collingwood

Collingwood offered a life line to Ballantyne's football career in 1994. He was tried in defence, mainly at full back, with reasonable success. A serious knee injury ended his football career prematurely, after a further nine games with Collingwood in two seasons.[1]

NFL Europe

After his Australian rules football career ended, Ballantyne played American football for the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europe. A punter, Ballantyne was signed by National Football League (NFL) team, the Denver Broncos, but never played a match for them.

Ballantyne played amateur gridiron in Australia in the Victoria Gridiron Association.

Anyone have the stats / write up from tonights game at Whitten? Surely there's footage?
Dogs media team was at Marvel, so only stats is the final score

12.12 84 Werribee
6.7 43 Footscray

The AFL's Covid-19 Contingency List plan: -
Clubs can list up to 20 top-ups from state league affiliates by March 11. -
They can TRAIN with that club if there are fewer than 30 players available due to Covid. -
They can PLAY with that club if there are fewer than 28 available...

Footscray Bulldogs have signed Charlie Macisaac from Old Xaverians
"Another player to come up from the under 19s. Can play on the wing, through the midfield and up forward, where he has slotted 15 goals from eight matches, including three in this past two outings. Club officials are convinced he’ll bring down the mark of the year one day."

Sounds like an interesting prospect. Anyone know his measurements? Or know much about him? Sounds like he has a good leap.

Apparently we were keen on Shaun McKernan haha

I tell you what, it wouldn't have been the worst option if the alternative is playing Martin as a key forward. Casboult as well. At least they have some forward nous and can take a contested grab. I know this is for the VFL team but the same concept applies.

Yeah, apparently settled with them because he was already training with their squad.

This whole top up thing is backwards. It's not even public knowledge who is linked to who.
Fremantle and West Coast have already announced theirs
