Tom Murphy has single handedly stopped at least 4 port forward forays in the first. Put his body on the line and really having a crack, it's good see.

So many turnovers from our blokes. And I don't like the gameplan of having everyone run back into the forward half to get one over the top. It's just ugly football.

we have been appalling yet are still in front, heaven help port if we actually click into gear in this match.

Skills exceptionally bad from both sides - tbh neither side looks like they give a toss. Mitchell being tagged as usual by cornes, hodge being tagged by thomas - both doing a good job on them, hopefully they can work there way into it.

Roughie still doing the lazy run up for kick on goal - didn't even make the distance

Murphy - doing a fantastic job on davenport

Apart from that, we are in front so can't really continue complaining and hopefully can improve in this quarter

I would love to know what the heck is wrong with Roughie.. This should be a day where he stands up, and is accountable.. He has not had a good game this year..Not good enough Roughie, if you play for the brown and gold, you stand up EVERY week and give your best. If you are injured, then get it fixed, and come back next year with a better attitude, and a body that is 100%..
Some players would give their eye tooth to be able to play AFL..You don't seem to give a damn!!:(

Don't blame Roughie. Not a lot of structure in this game. It's not like he's getting any chance to lead on to passes or get a chance one-on-one near the goal square. Trying to get into it, been chasing up the ground a bit (exactly like Fevola doesn't)

Laddo sounds to be travelling pretty well. Thought he was the biggest surprise to get selected, maybe still underdone, and certainly out of form. Heard a couple of goals, and a goal saving tackle, but does he look the goods? Anyone ready to declare that he's back?

You can cite however many statistics about entries to goal conversions, but we totally lack structure up forward. Watching it from the stands it's so obvious, roughy has no idea what's going on up there. And I don't either

Looked a little better in that quarter - still some decision making queries but overall 100% on that crap dished up in the first quarter.

Beautiful goals from young and hodge - starting to get on top but still giving them far too much room to move when the do get the chance - luck has it they have the kicking yips in front of goal.

Laddo, ellis, murphy and birch (all guys that have been down) are playing quite well. Lets hope they can bring it again in the second half and really put them away and get other teams worrying as to whether we are back in force.
