I bet Hardwick is classy as always in his presser and praises us with genuine thoughts rather than the bullshit Scott dishes up in his.

Christ. First season and only 20yrs old. Yet you’re writing him off already?
No one from the look of things. Blicavs on a wing, so often Lynch marked uncontested.I didn’t get to watch the game.
Who played on Lynch?
Gee people have been saying that every year for how many years? We wont make the 8 next year

Yes he destroyed possibly their most dangerous small forward. Good observation.
not writing him off at all - but I will be surprised if he matches his 2019 efforts ... hope he does. Needs to bodyline the ball a bit more imo.

I think he was playing a defensive mid role though. He was just there to stop outside run. As I said, I agree he should’ve played back last week and this week, but I think our outs kind of forced our hand a bit. Who else would we have played there?Mainly as a defensive mid or a second ruck. Def not an outside player. He has zero feel for it. He doesn't have a football background. So, he just stuffs up as a utility Mr fixit. He was doing great a FB
Miers our new Stevie Johnson wannabe - a cynical player who can at times be very good.
I'm not sure he'll ever butter up again as he did in 2019, nonetheless he redeemed his own finals series when question marks were mounting.
Tonight was Gryan's ceiling in a nutshell imo.
What could have been if we'd kicked straight when we were dominating![]()
At this point I will assume you didn't watch the game.He is mentally weak with zero game awareness. Your can't win finals with role players like him now. You need contributors who can read the play and know when to Take the game on. O'Connor can't do that.
Kolo on Jack - although I did have a frustrating Geelong fan behind me with was yelling out stupid shot of all night, who at one stage yelled for Kolo to be taken off Lynch. He shut up when I said Taylor was in LynchSo who was on rioli and Jack?
Taylor for the majority. Lynch was too good, had him beat from the get goI didn’t get to watch the game.
Who played on Lynch?
For long stretches of time, no one.I didn’t get to watch the game.
Who played on Lynch?
Not sure what game you were watching how many times he ran it up the wing as overlapping run and stopped his man, probably 12 other teammates you point the finger at for not doing their job...They have 3-4 dangerous smalls, stopping one while getting nothing back achieves nothing. O'Connor gives us nothing.
A little bit of a changing of the guard coming over the next year or so. Some club legends to depart and a little bit of work at the trade table needed. Got some good kids and should get a couple more for Kelly. These things can go either way. I feel now is the time for a bit of a reload without panic stations.

As I thought. Kolo bathed Jack.Kolo on Jack - although I did have a frustrating Geelong fan behind me with was yelling out stupid shot of all night, who at one stage yelled for Kolo to be taken off Lynch. He shut up when I said Taylor was in Lynch
Not sure on Rioli
Question marks? Mounting? The kid was a revelation in his first year...another 22 possession effort tonight and was excellent in the first half....and never gave up throughout.
He'll play a lot of football for Geelong...more than just a small forward.
We'll be fine, we lose legends every couple of years and keep in contention. It won't be any different next year, except perhaps we'll have a bit more speed - something we lack in some areas of the ground.Losing legends Taylor and the GOAT, losing a star and possibly best player in Kelly, Selwood and Hawkins almost cooked yep next year is gonna be a ripping year.
The has got to be the worst take in this thread so far.Miers our new Stevie Johnson wannabe - a cynical player who can at times be very good.
