You keep saying that he had 18 touches like it proves a point or something? My argument is simple, MOC is not the type of player we need, and our overeliance on him comes at the expense of playing more capable players in his position. He is a weak link.

I said it once but ok...

Scott could have made that change...but I seriously doubt it would have made an iota of difference....especially when u have a look at his goals.

It looked to me we ran out of legs...Whether we like it or not, the Tigers are a very good side.
Agree with this a lot. Tigs smashed us 2nd half through the middle, and got us playing crappy kick down the line footy. Lynch was kicking goals and taking marks before the half time break, but we were 20pts up and cruising because we were out playing them everywhere else. Tigs changed a lot at half time and we should’ve responded at 3/4 time but didn’t have it there. They’re ruthless and powerful.

The big move for me was Danger to full forward to start the 3rd after he had dominated the 2nd, thats what ****ed our momentum up, more stupid Scott crap

We totally ran out of legs - they were hunting in packs when we had the ball & made sure we had limited easy possession

And once they got the ball they ran forward in packs and always had open options. It was like there was an extra 10 of them during the second half - we just had too many guys didn't lift to the next level during the second half, who either couldn't or wouldn't run with their opponent and we just looked flat footed like we were running through mud with them having dry ground beneath their feet

Do you know what Cynical means?

1.
believing that people are motivated purely by self-interest; distrustful of human sincerity or integrity.

2.
concerned only with one's own interests and typically disregarding accepted standards in order to achieve them.

Gagf; of course I do.

There were a couple of contests in which i felt Gryan Miers - who I absolutely love as a footballer, and I reckon I gave him at least 4 votes in our h&a game against Richmond in Rd 12 or whatever it was - didn't do himself any favours.

At the end of the day the players fall back onto bad tactical habits coached into them. That's on Scott and the MC. How can you have a coherent forward line with a defender as a forward coach? How can you kick a big enough score when you have so many defenders in the team. Scott's presser was the usual rhetoric and I have absolutely no reason to believe next year won't be the same. A weak team that will clean up at home, lose after the bye and butcher its way through finals. Alone the way we will probably recruit some hack older players from other clubs, and once again crash in finals.

Forget the blame game... that milk is spilt.
What did we learn? We played as we were coached.
When the game is reviewed include the coaching mistakes please.
Our ball movement looks slow with players trying to think their way forward
Rather than using natural, fluent and instinctive ball movement.
The sudden switch between slow and fast tempo makes players second guess correct positioning structure.
Please ensure there is a back-up plan for suspended and injured players.
Players need to be played in various positions throughout the season to ensure flexibility.
Player skills need to be dramatically improved, especially goal-kicking.

Would it have made a difference if Gary kicks that goal in the last? We were down by 5 points, he kicks the goal & it would have been 2 goals in like 2 minutes and we get back the lead - instead he kicks a behind and we don't look like kicking another goal

And as contentious as this might be, I can’t see where the criticism of Scott is coming from, and calls for replacing him? Seriously?? We finished top in the H&A and narrowly lost a Prelim where they were on top for much of the game. Young players are developing and no Ablett, Taylor and Kelly next season doesn’t necessarily make them a worse side (though Kelly leaving will be a big hole to fill).

Geelong had a good year lots worked but his short comings were probably highlighted as were his and the clubs strengths.

Lots of development this year so lots of positives. He just has a horrible finals record and the supporters don't trust his gameplan come finals. Not that it matters to Geelong but that's why you get these polarizing views. The MC makes some strange decisions even the strongest CS supporters can look twice at Stanley omission, Blicavs on a wing.

You can't go 4-14 or what ever it is since 2011 and expect to keep everyone happy the list is a touch old in the Gun player category so a bit of a rejig is required but this was a golden opportunity to make a GF just in terms of age of Hawkins, Selwood, Taylor, Danger so see what happens from here its a blank page for 2020 no idea where the cats are at the be honest

Well...Danger disappeared after half time no matter where he was positioned.... Just faded out of the game altogether....It was very unusual. Did he have an issue I wonder....

People very reactive. He’s had a few weeks of average form, and I think he needs to toughen up a bit and find an edge. Thought he was one of our worst tonight and looked very lost but long career ahead still.
I tend to agree, to me Parfitt and Henry are in the same boat. Both I think slipped a bit this season from their form last year, but that's not uncommon with young players. Both have huge futures, are much better then your bog standard fill-in role players, and will be better for the season. Not every legend of the club was a legend in their first couple of years.

We are not going to trade Parfitt.....he's 21 and got a ton of ability.
Parfitt should be quietly shopped he does have youth on his side, but he has no real pace doesn't hit the scoreboard much and has poor awareness he reminds me of a poor version of Caddy when we had him at the club

I read an earlier post that said he was favouring one leg just before he kicked that goal seconds before half time

I thought Henderson started the 3rd quarter in the goal square - I know during the 1st & 3rd quarters (kicking to our cheer squad end where I was sitting) Danger went forward at times but more around the 50m arc but I don't remember him starting in the goal square at any stage
