I thought Henderson started the 3rd quarter in the goal square - I know during the 1st & 3rd quarters (kicking to our cheer squad end where I was sitting) Danger went forward at times but more around the 50m arc but I don't remember him starting in the goal square at any stage

He did. He came off limping. Sav also came off hurt.

Doesn't matter Geelong continually miss them like after a bye regardless of who misses them it's all the same in the book. It's a pretty extensive history of missing on these kind of occasions now. Which is harsh in 2019 because personally I thought as a list preseason we were nowhere near 3rd so I feel we over achieved personally but that means nothing in regards to the narrative of the prelim bombs unfortunately just excuses now if you have good sides and continually miss at the end it's internal and external in terms of quality of opposition.

Scott implemented his game plan at half time. The first 1/2 we played free flowing football. Then Scott thought oh jee wiz we are in front lets implement my awesome defensive minded tactics and hold onto it.

Parfitt should be quietly shopped he does have youth on his side, but he has no real pace doesn't hit the scoreboard much and has poor awareness he reminds me of a poor version of Caddy when we had him at the club

Caddy ended up being a pretty handy player for the Tigs tbf

I thought a crucial part of the outcome was that in the first half we hardly had a bad player, everyone was contributing... The kids were all going well, Gaz and Harry were burning.

The 2nd half it was the opposite, we hardly had a good player.. Too much left to too few.. And our best player went missing and that hurt the most.. Injured or not he was still out there, the Tigers were sore as well but their sore players lifted

I now believe in every finals loss since 2011 we have kicked more points than goals within the match. Maybe one of the blowouts again Haw we didn’t but it’s an extraordinary run of statistics.

Tom Lynch is very good and has a couple of inches and 6kg on Taylor plus 7 years his junior.

One thing that pi**ed me off in the 3rd quarter was when Caddy and a few other Tiger players were getting into Miers after they thought he dived when Houli whacked him while he was on the mark, not one teammate flew the flag to help the kid out, apart from one player giving a token shove to Caddy when he was running off.

Wouldn't have seen that when the likes of Chappy, Scarlo and Moons were running around.

Honestly that is right around the time I realised we weren't coming back.

Yeh Lynch just had him beat. Played a great game. Was very mobile, leading really well, great hands and kicked straight.

We needed a coaching group who wasn’t pigheaded, who could admit they made a mistake in week one of the finals and move our AA quality fullback from the wing onto the most dangerous forward on the ground.
A coaching group who once again went into a final with 9 defenders in the selected side
