mantis. I am red and black thorugh and through dont you worry. i call a spade a spade. maybe my top 4 prediction was to out there but with our first game against North it looked possible! Im still confident with out youth we will be there soon.

meanwhile i worry about the Cats mooney-reliance and lack of depth. hawks are w***er supporters but they are the best team for mine
You just worry about your own team. No need to worry about another.

looking at geelongs list and seriously if they get a few injuries they are nearly gone. without Ottens they have nearly the worst ruck stocks in the league. Take out Mooney and they've got no decent key forwards.

Hawthorn will probably annihilate them

and Essendon PROBABLY like playing like fairies.....7-0 and no ottens and weve blood about 5 youngies....keep PROBABLING ya fool

A man of distinction? A real big spender?

Ah depth, I'm surprised you know the meaning of the word Custard being a bomber fan

Enjoy another bottom four finish; hey that should help improve your "depth":p

Would this be the ruckman who is 4th in the league for total hitouts? Blake isn't setting the world on fire but he's a lot better than most second ruckmen in the competition.

Hawkins is hardly bad, and we've got Scotty Simpson coming up through the ressies.

The fact that we've won 7 on the trot without Ottens is HUGE, never mind that we've beaten St Kilda, Brisbane and Pavlich without the services of Egan.

a guy that noes footy, geelong could proberly play with 16 players to 18 and still win, there midfield + backline is AWSOME

Who is on Hawthorn's list outside the 22 that is so great?

Dowler, Thorp, Stokes, Tuck, Murphy, Boyle, Clarke, Dawson? How many games do these guys have between them?

You must be kidding if you think the Hawks won't be in deep poop if they lose a couple of quality players for extended periods.

If all fit, the Hawks have 30 good players to choose from, not including Thorp, Bailey, Kennedy, Muston or Dowler.

4 of the above you mentioned, are unlucky not to playing regularly. Of those not mentioned, McGlynn, a handy replacement, also came in for Bateman last week. Bailey, a promising 206cm ruckman blew his knee before the season started, and there have been solid reports about Moss. Who knows what will happen with Muston?

I think the Hawks have reasonable depth. I also think Geelong have enough too. But if either side gets an unlucky run with injuries they will of coarse be vulnerable. Like any side.

Give up Mustard, even your fellow Bombers have turned against you. Must feel unpopular, trolling and not being backed up by anyone at all...

You are right, there are no massive names on the Geelong list outside the current 22.

But...

Same deal for the Bulldogs, Adelaide or any other side below Geelong.

Why are we talking about Hawthorns depth when no one ever said we had huge depth......

But a few more:
Bailey
Kennedy
Moss
Morton
Muston
Whitecross

But like you said, they are all young and have not many games between them.

Would love to see how effective Muston and Bailey are right now...about as effective as Nathan Ablett. Can't include them in discussions on current depth.

meanwhile i worry about the Cats mooney-reliance and lack of depth.

You must lead a sad pathetic sheltered life if you worry about another clubs so called reliance on a player, which by the way is a load of bulltish.

Get away from the computer for 5 minutes.Go outside and get some fresh air or hire a hooker so you can finally get laid. That might ease your stress over Geelongs so called reliance.

But thanks for your concern.Sadly I have no worries about Essendons current position.I'm loving it :p

JUB JUB, I'm going to slap you in a minute, you know this guy isn't a Bomber, just a troll.

Geelong have very good depth - the best in the competition.

However I remember the Eagles depth two years ago. We couldn't see how we could possibly fall with out backup players getting 30-40+ touches a week in the WAFL. How quickly things change though. These depth players look good when they're given the odd run in the main side, but when they become a major component it's a different story altogether!

Nonsense thread. Every team would be weaker if you took out there best 3-4 players through injury. Even if your depth is good, the replacements coming from the VFL will never be as good as the best players (i.e Ablet, Bartel, Ottens)

And that is why this thread should have died after the OP. At the very least get moved to Bay13 where it can be treated with the respect it deserves.
