Fact is, if you have one of these variables change:

Selwood plays
Ablett plays
Game is played on neutral territory

Geelong probably win, so I don’t think Geelong should be too depressed by tonight.
The Eagles are a great side and might be even better in a month but the season is not lost if they are yard stick.

Pretty happy with that. Hard to overcome a home crowd and some poor skills - but we were in it right up to the last minute.
Thought Sav did alright in the ruck, but had a few skill errors. Still, he's 22. I'll wear that.

Thought Richo was really good in the box - actually gave us credit unlike Brayshaw etc. Lots of respect for him.

Both teams understrength, but after a big long slog in a hurricane last week, thought we did alright. The EFFORT was there. That's what I liked. I think the balance of old and new was about right. Some good youthful enthusiasm (and skill errors).

I find it a bit weird that a few of you are down on Rategolea (sp?). From an opposition point of view I felt he was in everything. Won a lot of contests and halved a few where I thought we were on. Wasnt horrible in the ruck either. The bad miss was the only thing I thought you could ping him for.

He is still young, tried hard but he turned over the ball twice in the centre of the ground..which gave you two goals. Brave against Nic Nat but has to play within his capabilities when the pressure is on.

The game plan was working perfectly for the first 70% of the game. We had the game on our terms *because* of the game plan and we almost beat the flag favourites at their home ground without our captain and our best mid-sized forward.

Yes Scott coached well until eagles cranked it up. Then the jittery stuff came. Normal.

He turned the ball over WAY to many times that lead directly to goals, got smashed in the ruck as well. Poor game from Sav - no questions. Confidence was gone by the end of the game after the turnovers.
