This whole thing is a bit bewildering to me.

Scrim has class, and is a key component of our backline.

Barring injury, I would expect him to play round one, and if he shows the same form he has previously, he will keep his spot.

Mitchell openly stated a number of times last year that he picks 7 defenders each week. With DGB not making huge strides and Day likely to be playing midfield, that leaves:

Siss, Blanck, Hardwick, CJ, Impey, Frost and Scrimmers.

We probably start the six that make the most sense based on the opposition.

In one video over the pre-season Scrimmers did say that he may play up the ground a bit at times, as he did last year and as Impey did too, so expect this might give opportunities to others like Tank and Bramble.

Before his ACL, it absolutely was. From all reports, he sounds like he's back to that level.

Yeah he looked great (way back then). Have always wanted to see our half back line all fit and firing at the same time

Scrim is in our best 22. Might get some time forward of centre if last year was any indication. He's reliable, has excellent field kicking and reads the play well. Depending on opposition he and Hardwick may have some forward time when matchups suit
