let's hope the recent twinge on the 'good' hammie and the resultant marred pre-season doesn't affect him too much.

I have a feeling it will have an impact. He's had 12 months off footy and needed a full pre-season.

Having said that, he'll still be worth his weight in gold, but I'm only predicting 50-55 goals. With the tall timber surrounding him, however, this would still represent a tremendous input and make a big difference to our season.

Yeh good stuff; I was just reading the website, and Lloydy expressed those exact sentiments.

That's great, and you're right, it will freshen him up. My concern was around the fact that no matter how much training you do, it's not the same as match fitness. But as you say, he's been working it, and match fitness will come when he plays matches, if he has the base
