Irfan does it again.

Can he be stopped?

Hopefully he goes on, passes go and collects another 50 tommorow. Then rip through the top order of the Lankans (again!).
Interesting, you quoted yourself, one minute after a post...:p

But pretty disappointing day for India, a few starts, and similar to the Aus/SA test, it seems that patience is the key with Laxmans 71 coming off 194 balls.

They were 5/97 at one stage remember.

To finish the day 6/247 is a fantastic performance.

Definitely, but they need to be 300 before they lose another wicket.
I agree, but the way Sri Lanka have been batting in the series especially against Kumble they wont be making much more than 300 themselves I wouldn't think.

These two do need to go on a bit longer though, Laxman especially.

India does bat right down to Number 11 though. Agarkar, Kumble (in his 100th test) and Harbajahn can all bat.

India still a big chance of scoring about 350.

Murali's obviously the key for Sri Lanka.

Pathan out for 82.
I think its fair to say Irfan is already at 21 I think as good as Andrew Flintoff.

IMO better.

Bad luck to Pathan though, he'll get other oppurtunities and the runs he scores were invaluable to his team in a pressure situation. Just like his 93 or whatever it was in the Second Test opening the batting. What a cricketer!

Has a fantastic attacking game and a very solid defence.

And Kumble will be getting a bowl soon in his 100th test match.

Apollo wait until he plays away more and against better opposition , sri lanka is a pretty crap side to base someones career on so far, especially at the moment and at home.

Most of his runs have been against minnows , lets see him in SAF away, England away and Australia away before u properly judge him. But i dont deny he is a genuine talent , he just hasnt been properly tested yet.

Batting against Murali on the sub-continent is a fair intiation.

For closure's sake, India won by 259 runs to win the three Test series 2-0.
Next for Sri Lanka is an ODI series in NZ.
India travel to Pakistan for the long awaited three Test series.
First Test is in Lahore on Jan 14.
