I honestly think DBJ has slipped to 4th on the small/medium defender depth chart. I'd have Burton, Houston and now Burgoyne all ahead of him. The only way he's in our best back 6 is if Houston is pushing up to the midfield. In that context his contract length is very questionable.

I dont know about this, I know its not as like for like but I reckon a fully fit Bonner would push him down to 5th comfortably. Lachie Jones also in this conversation.

Yeah he's a serviceable player and harder to replace than people think.

To me I'd be absolutely fine with him getting 2. 3 I think is a mistake and a year too long but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

But players like Martin, Dangerfield and petracca definitely try to isolate him.
