It would, but Utah isn't the only place where this can occur though. Seems a very expensive way to go about it, surely there must be measurable physical benefits that we consider more important than bonding to justify the cost.

What do Hawthorn do?

Lines.

Isn't part of the reason that we go to Utah because there is a US Olympic base there so that our athletes can be given education about how to live as a professional athlete.

Can't do that in remote WA. Not saying that remote WA wouldn't have an upsisde just that it would probably be a different upside. more overcoming adversity based.

Since we started going there we have had one marginal incident with 1 younger player.

What do Hawthorn do?

Drink drive and get accused of rape?

The Utah trip should continue forever imho.

Gen Y’ers have a hard time dealing with being a professional footballers. They sook up hard about missing out on a lot the rites of passage stuff all of the non-AFL mates their age do in their early adult life(European summer holidays, drinking, drugs etc…). Which despite the privileges they have you can understand to a degree.

If we can help them get over that with experiences of seeing another country, going to an NBA/NFL game, bonding with the other youngsters & have them feel/understand they get more than give away by playing AFL & for North, it will be a factor in building the attitudes & chemistry we need to get our next flag.
