He certainly wasn’t our best forward this year.

We did and we'll hope he gets back to the extended run of good form he's shown over his career.

Until Tom and Charlie play a game, not claiming a win. Flynn looked good in the games he played but needs to deliver longer term, same with Kozzie

Perez will play plenty next year, but even withstanding I rate Powell higher than Pickett.

I see Pickett as more a very good pressure forward rather than a specialist goal sneak. Definitely necessary in the modern game, but not worth using an early pick on.

The North midfield is really good to be purring in a couple of seasons.

You're right, 350 game superstar with 3 brownlows and 4 norm Smiths sounds about right.

This is a classic win-win trade. Pickett is exciting to say the least, Powell couldn't have made a better start. I know it gets complicated, but these are essentially the two main players in the deal for each side. Both teams would be very happy with how this sits atm.

To be fair, there was quite a lot of gloating at this apparent horror trade by Melbourne, and people going VERY early on writing Kozzy Pickett off earlier in this thread.

It was great trading by Melbourne to identify a player and go out and get him, giving up 3 picks to get back into the 1st round.

This looks like a win win for both clubs, Tom Powell looks like a long term player for North after only 3 games.

We are literally posters with different opinions, not sure how hard it was for you to find out about that.

The general consesus on the North board was that we were going to use our 2019 Pick 8 on Sam Flanders, pick 8 was traded out from Melbourne who picked up Pickett (With 12) and Rivers (With 32). Freo then used our pick 8 to pick up Serong (I think that's what the other poster was trying to say, our pick ended up being used on Serong?)
