Equally as striking was the race call where caller didnt mention the participation of other runners in final 400mAmerican Pharoah smashes track record by a lazy 5 seconds in the Breeders' Cup Classic. Unbelievable.
Politeness was one of very few runners who defied track biasAbsolutely love Politeness.
Easily my fave horse and it was brilliant today
So deserving of the group 1. Got it absolutely flying.
And I know this is flagrantly against the rules but **** it, it's not often you pick a $250 quinella.

Was Golden Horn well beaten?
Certainly the worst always seem to be in slow motion. "Annnddd at the half mile........ its California chrommmeee..... followed by...."Incredible effort despite being gifted the race.
2 US marines with him in the mounting yard and 9 marines escort him back to the stables. 20,000 watching him at trackwork before his last run was pretty cool.
Confirmation that US race callers are the worst in the known universe
Could it be that they use a different type of soil for the inside lanes because of the added traffic to stop it breaking up as much, with the slight bit of rain the inside held together better but as the day wore on and the sunshine/wind dried up the track and it became slightly fairer.Politeness was one of very few runners who defied track bias

There will be bias again on tuesday, nothing come out really wide with the bias so the inside 4-5 lanes will be chopped up from the run in the wet and outside of that will be untouched.
Unsure what the reason is for the bias just that it was clearly there. Im just a small mug punter so its more annoying for me than anything else. But if you were an owner and the amonut of money effort and time invested to target certain races and then have the track play so fairly? Youd have every reason to be furious.Could it be that they use a different type of soil for the inside lanes because of the added traffic to stop it breaking up as much, with the slight bit of rain the inside held together better but as the day wore on and the sunshine/wind dried up the track and it became slightly fairer.

If its for the reasons I believe then its only thing they could have done was move the rail out to where the softer soil starts knowing the rain was coming but that would mean come cup day it would have been an extreme leader bias worse then saturday imo.Unsure what the reason is for the bias just that it was clearly there.
