ESSENDON chairman Paul Little told club members that, based on current information, players "did not ingest anything harmful to their bodies, did not take anything illegal and did not take anything performance enhancing" during the 2012 supplements program.

Little used his speech at the club's 140th annual general meeting to lash World Anti-Doping Agency president John Fahey for "destructive" and "unfounded, unsettling" claims that infraction notices were still likely for the Bombers.

I always secretly admired Gentleman Jim.. but he's just another self interested arseh*le conning the world he's a hero

Me too. Used to admire him but now hate him like no one else ever associated with the game. Justice will only be served if he is rubbed out from the game for a significant length of time.

Doesn't mention not taking substances prohibited by the anti-doping agency.

There's two clear riders in what Paul Little says.

"Based on current information" ... is a classic line when you're bullshitting

" Didn't ingest anything harmful.." ingest is generally taken to mean orally, as opposed to injected.

Ok then you slimey bastard show us the paperwork that proves this.

Oh Noes did I use a bad word to describe you, did I suggest you are bullshitting me?
Please don't threaten me with legal action. w***er!

RECAP:

ESSENDON SUPPLEMENT SCANDAL
FROM the moment a stunned James Hird fronted the media in February, the joint ASADA-AFL investigation into what supplements the Bombers gave their players dominated headlines all year. Bombshells were dropped on a regular basis as sports scientist Stephen Dank became one of the most controversial figures in Australian sport. Further allegations by sacked fitness coach Dean "The Weapon" Robinson and Essendon captain Jobe Watson - who declared on Fox Footy's On the Couch he believed he took banned anti-obesity drug AOD-9604 - fuelled an out-of-control fire. By season's end Essendon had been booted from the AFL finals and Hird banned for 12 months in an unprecedented AFL retribution, but the question of whether players took performance-enhancing drugs remains unanswered.

BUDDY TO SYDNEY
THE Lance Franklin contract saga bubbled just under the surface during Hawthorn's premiership-winning season, but it exploded three days after the Grand Final when Buddy shocked the footy world by shunning a big-money offer from GWS to take an even bigger offer at Sydney. Grudging goodwill to the star goalkicker evaporated as he signed a $10 million, nine-year deal that will have him running around for the Swans at age 36. Franklin wasted little time acquainting himself with the Sydney nightclub scene, ruffling feathers in the NRL heartland.

EDDIE'S KING KONG-SIZED GAFFE
COLLINGWOOD president Eddie McGuire wiped out years of good work against racism when he compared Sydney's indigenous star Adam Goodes to King Kong in a breakfast radio brain fade. The comment came just days after a young female Magpies supporter called Goodes an "ape" over the fence, and was marched from the MCG after Goodes pointed her out in one of the year's enduring images. The Swans star responded in typically classy fashion with a best-on-ground performance the next week and hopefully the footy world learned something from the sorry saga.

HARRY O WALKS OUT
COLLINGWOOD was in the news again in July when Harry O'Brien flew to Port Douglas instead of playing against Carlton after a falling out with coach Nathan Buckley. A comment at a team meeting that was taken the wrong way was reportedly behind the stunning move, and O'Brien unloaded his personal demons to unsuspecting journos on his return, revealing that he was battling depression and suicidal thoughts sparked by witnessing a murder in Brazil and a "very complicated history of sexual abuse". O'Brien mended his rift with Buckley but the same couldn't be said for teammates including Heath Shaw, Dale Thomas and Darren Jolly, who were sent packing after the season as the club subjected its infamous "rat pack" to some serious pest control. While Shaw and Thomas will be at new clubs next year, Jolly was left on the scrapheap - and he didn't take it well, labelling his former coach a "coward".

COACHES MERRY-GO-ROUND
BEING a three-time premiership captain - or the fact a month remained in the home-and-away season - wasn't enough to save Michael Voss from the axe when the Brisbane board decided he wasn't the man to take the Lions forward. The Lions were widely believed to have made the move to pounce on the best coach in the game not at an AFL club in Paul Roos, but he ended up as the saviour at Melbourne, replacing dumped coach Mark Neeld. In the west, John Worsfold was believed to be close to signing a new contract when he walked away from the Eagles coaching job - to be replaced by former North Melbourne premiership captain Adam Simpson - and St Kilda waited until November to tear up Scott Watters' contract. The other outgoing coach in 2013 left in more dignified style, legend Kevin Sheedy bowed out after 679 games in charge of Essendon and the Giants.

spot on,100% correct,I think they are still feeding us bullshit Little obviously learnt plenty as head of the toll group.
Very careful choice of words there, very easy to backtrack when it goes pear shape which it inevitably will.

Anyone know anything about a potential incident tonight between Damian Barrett and Jack Kennedy at Richard Colless' farewell?

Saw Robbo......yes I know.....Tweet something about it tonight.

Personally hope Barrett will be sucking his Christmas Turkey through a straw!

Essendon's Brendan Goddard has injured his calf during the club's pre-season camp in Colorado.

It's just a bitch trying to stay fit without the peptides o_O

Yeah but to be fair to Goddard, he wasn't at the Club then:oops:

A KEY witness relied on by the AFL and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority to build its case against Essendon coach James Hird sourced two banned peptides and a form of human growth hormone from sports scientist Stephen Dank for professional reasons.
The ASADA investigation into Essendon found Dean Robinson, the club's high-performance manager throughout the 2012 season, obtained CJC-1295, Hexarelin, Scitropin and progesterone from Dank for a "close friend", The Australian reports.
Robinson admitted to ASADA he received injections of the contentious peptide AOD-9604 and Melanotan II, a peptide used as a tanning agent.
