ollies disposal has been better than fine the last two seasons. He’s currently a far better user than dozens of the leagues absolute best inside mids.
the one problem is that right now he isn’t the 7-10 clearance a game elite midfielder we need him to be. He’s plateauing at very good inside mid status but that’s not enough when the rest of our engine room isn’t clearance specialists.

Yeah Wines is alright but he's no Mitch Morton or Daniel Venables.
Nathan Broad has 3 premiership medals, if that's not enough to stop the 'he's not good enough to win a premiership' overreaction I don't know what is.

Because he goes missing in most big games especially against quick mids , he has a worst record in big games then Trent cotchin

That he's our main guy for the last 5 years and next and he goes missing when he has to stand up
To be honest, to many players that come to Port that look like they will become elite but something happens and they become Portized or Hinkleyized.
Is it attitude (lack of motivation) ? Is it work rate ?
I recon someone needs to remind him his a 100kg inside midfielder and that he needs to really throw his weight around.
He should be unstoppable at stoppages.

Real problem is all our mids go missing at the same time when we have a poor game. You can afford for one to have an off period, but when they do as a collective we continually get results like Saturday night
The problem is that wines and boak are our best midfielders where our competitors have bontempeli, Cripps, dusty, Neale, yeo and Petracca. They are a whole level above our guys. You need top level mids to win a flag we haven’t had that since the burgoynes left.

Why are the two examples you used two games that are four years apart? That doesn't really set a precedent.
Is it because they were against the Eagles or some other reason?
