Pick #73 Riley Grundy

8 games, averaging 6 disposals, 1 tackle, 2 hitouts and 22 dreamteam points.

Possibly the worst stats of an AFL listed players in the SANFL that I can remember..

You would hope he is doing his defensive game well (pressure acts, setting up etc). Hopefully he can start to find some of the footy
Mate give him at least a couple years...

He does look unconvincing, but Grundys test isn't this year, it's next year after a full preseason. This year is just all about learning and developing. Its perfect timing for our list to have a key back developing away that won't be ready for a few years given the squeeze we already have on spots in our backline, amongst what is a reasonably young group.

I would argue it’s after his Second full preseason, their is always the second year blues that come after the first full preseason and the subsequent burnout. Come his third season he should have a base that allows him to develop the on field game play/sense that will reflect what sort of player he will be for us moving forward!

So he played forward in the scratch?

How did he look? Something there or just throwing him around a bit?

Does he get another year?
Gets another year for sure, his development in 12 months keeps him around.
