We don't have a bulletproof profile.Round 22 when you have a bulletproof profile is the absolute worst time to try something different. You are committed to the path you are on and staying as hot as possible. Trying something different is for when your profile is flagging.
We do not have anyone on our list capable of being a mid-sized tall that we want to be using in the role (Brayden Cook is probably the best option and he should have been delisted a year ago; Dawson and Curtin are better off elsewhere), and going small is a dumb idea as all it means is Thilthorpe (one of our main match winners) is going to be double-teamed. That's also ignores the facr that our small forward depth also sucks. The next man in is Lachie Murphy and Pedlar has barely fired a shot outside of last week.
There are no lessons from the West Coast game, outside of we have enough match winners to escape an ambush. Beyond that, we played that one like we didn't want to be there which means there is nothing that can be said about structure.
We didn't stay as hot as possible.
TT was double and triple teamed.
There are lessons from every game.
We wouldn't escape against any other team.
Half the problem with Nicks in the past is he doesn't make changes. If our structure isn't holding up in a Final, which is very possible, do you suggest we just stick with it?
Try something different, you never know what gem you uncover.
