Can we look at replacing Sholl or even putting him to sub, painfully weak over the weekend.

6 Day break into a 5 day.Does he really need to miss though? Subbed out in the first game half way through the third, bit bruise free against Essendon.
Is it a bit early to be resting him?
I think the mindset would be to have some water before you get thirstyDoes he really need to miss though? Subbed out in the first game half way through the third, bit bruise free against Essendon.

I wonder if Sholl pushed himself too hard to get back quickly from his knee? Can we look at replacing Sholl or even putting him to sub, painfully weak over the weekend.

I dont think we have a solid replacement for Keane with Muzz injured and coming up against the Suns. Keane would have to be safe.I think it will be a real test for Nicks to see whether he has the ticker to make unforced changes to a winning side with good momentum. Easy enough to just 'back the boys in' but any or all of Milera, Sholl or Keane have not had a great three weeks and we have very solid replacements ready and waiting. I reckon it would send a clear (and good) message to the squad about form over favourites...we'll see what he does.

Another fitness test for us. Six day break and 27 degrees predicted on Saturday
I can get behind this line of thinking though it asks a lot of a first year player. If you want minimal change tactically like the first part of your post suggests, I think we're getting it a lot more swapping Rachele for Taylor.I disagree. Part of the game here is to make as little changes as possible, seeing we've put up 3 100+ scores, which means our outside game is working. The only reason we should be changing anything with our outside players right now is due to injury.
We need to give Draper game time, and we just saw that he capable of a hatchet role. To add to this point, after the Gold Coast game, we're about to run into two of the best teams in the league at scoring from the defensive half. Effectively this is a way to replace Rachele with elite leg speed for a few weeks and reinforce our ability to shut down ball movement from the backline (+ whatever offensive output we get is a bonus, as it's not like we're struggling in this aspect).
Gets him a run, and by the time Rachele is back, someone else has likely dropped from an injury.
My mistake, not sure where I got that from.14 disposals?
Walker will miss one of GCS or Geelong games. Just a matter of which one we think is more important to our season, and how he's feeling after 3 matches. I don't know the answer to which is the more important match, as the way things stand they are both ranked somewhere between 3rd and 6th in the comp in my mind. Tough weather in Queensland but if he plays that he gets two weeks off before another big match up against GWS - also a huge game for us. Big three matches ahead.

They've already mentioned they would be doing it.
Theyd be managing him through the season, and that the Queensland and WA games he'd probably miss. What exactly did they say?
I know it's a bit harsh dropping Sholl from one poor game but humid conditions against a quick, strong side that thrives off turnovers are several variables we've seen him consistently struggle with. It's an avenue to fitting Draper in, whether predominantly midfield (Dawson/Soligo spend more time on the wing), or forward (Curtin spends more time on the wing)

Tex himself mentioned it too.
