Good win, its a shame you wont have Ben King this season as I think you would win a few games.

See you in 6 days

Understandable our long term supporters went early with the despair but as someone said early in the piece, the WCE weren't going to maintain 230 pressure for 2 quarters let alone 4
I really thought we would weather the storm and we did
Very mature response from the team
This was never going to be easy
We don't win away from home and only once in WA
Solid win with much of it coming from our future stars

I always felt we could win it as the game went on. Just wish we locked it up a bit earlier. But I’ve grown used to sitting uncomfortably on my couch while watching the Suns.

A fair bit of negativity in this tread.

Gold Coast well and truly in this and would be in front but for some poor kicking for goal. I can't fault the endeavour

Stats are pretty even apart from Disposal Efficiency and shooting accuracy.

Clean those areas up and Suns are a big chance to win this.

All the best for the second half.

I don't usually quote myself but I couldn't resist.

Congratulations on the win:thumbsu:

Oh and by the way
Matt Rowell?

Where will the goals come from was the major question.

I'm pretty happy with 16 of them, including 8 in the last!

Rankine 4
Chol 2
Casboult 2
Ainsworth 2
Miller 1
Witts 1
Sharp 1
Davies 1
Lukosius 1

Casboult and Chol did their job - Ballard, Collins and Powell took far more defensive intercept marks than McGovern, Hurn and Barrass

Good to get the win in the end. A bit disappointed in Sharp, who popped his head up in the fourth quarter after not having seen him since the second quarter. Then again, we weren't really playing our run-and-gun style that really brings in the wingers. I wonder if the Eagles just shut that down really well?

When Witts went down I thought for sure it was his knee again. So thankful he got back up.

Just because we won, I hope Dew doesn't swing the axe as he's been known to do. We are still absolutely carrying some guys.

I am still in shock over that Rowell/ Rioli incident.
Not one commentator even mentioned that it was an extreme
front on contact that the umpire completely ignored. Also, the
last time I checked you can’t jump and make head high contact.
They talked about Rioli being tough, but what he did was just
a cowards act.

Matt Rowell 6 free kicks for. (should have been 7)
Are we finally going to have a player that kind of gets looked after?
Not that I can remember any that seemed particularly unreasonable.
