Understandable our long term supporters went early with the despair but as someone said early in the piece, the WCE weren't going to maintain 230 pressure for 2 quarters let alone 4
I really thought we would weather the storm and we did
Very mature response from the team
This was never going to be easy
We don't win away from home and only once in WA
Solid win with much of it coming from our future stars

I always felt we could win it as the game went on. Just wish we locked it up a bit earlier. I lived in Perth for a year for work and used to go to Subiaco to watch games.Ugliest most foul mouthed supporters in the comp bar none
Great win in the end. Rankine and Rowell already look better than last year. Awesome we could find 16 goals without King, especially with Hurn and McGovern in defense.
33 touches, 22 contested, 10 clearances, 6 tackles. Rowell is back.
Good to see Rankine step up when we need him to as well. Hopefully he keeps it coming.

Dug deep in that last quarter. What a thing of beauty getting our first win ever over the Eagles in Perth. Rowell, Miller, Davies, Rankine all superb in that last quarter!!!

Good to get the win in the end. A bit disappointed in Sharp, who popped his head up in the fourth quarter after not having seen him since the second quarter. Then again, we weren't really playing our run-and-gun style that really brings in the wingers. I wonder if the Eagles just shut that down really well?
When Witts went down I thought for sure it was his knee again. So thankful he got back up.
Just because we won, I hope Dew doesn't swing the axe as he's been known to do. We are still absolutely carrying some guys.

I am still in shock over that Rowell/ Rioli incident.
Not one commentator even mentioned that it was an extreme
front on contact that the umpire completely ignored. Also, the
last time I checked you can’t jump and make head high contact.
They talked about Rioli being tough, but what he did was just
a cowards act.
