you can't say that, you can expect a whole heap of chest beaters to hunt you down, but you are correct, he was well and truly beaten today
Lol, are you that nuffy that was saying Fly was out coached last week when we won by 73 points and couldn't name a single thing that showed how he was outcoached? It was just the vibe, right?

credit where credit due, they've played tempo footy all day and also stifled our run completely

good coaching performance

we've also got a few guys who are playing like they have gastro

Actually I think Melbourne literally focused on cutting the Pies attack from their forward 50 and center.... Pies lost every contested mark there and every Pies fumbled handballs and kicks they usually execute in that area. Combo of good defense and bad skills today.

No JDG, Elliott, Sidebottom, McStay, Ginnivan, yet Melbourne could only muster a 4 pt win. We need the break, Pendles looked tired, Moore sore, and most of the guys looked way off their games. A loss can be a good loss, and it's what we needed, l think.

Haha, * you blokes are dramatic. Completely underselling one of the best teams in the league. Melbourne, goal kicking aside, have been brilliant today. Would’ve beaten any team in the league.
Agree.

In essence this is 35 to 45 point win for Dee's. Pies soundly beaten, Dee's game plan worked but also Pies uncharactersistic fumbles and turn overs... Pendles have 3 direct kicks to Melbourne players with no Pies near it.... it's a tale of both sides playing good and one playing bad.

Mihoceck looks like he was trying to carry our forward line against a good backline.
He is no CHF. Too small and at sea against a class backman. Hopefully McStay will allow him to play a less challenging role. Whatever he may have been trying to do today he didn't succeed, but as you suggest, there wasn't assistance coming from anyone else up forward, except maybe little Bobby Hill.

2 games clear of Melbourne with Geelong their next match and we have Adelaide Hopefully can jump clear again.

the lack of impact of AJ made it easy for Melbourne to double team mihocek, mihocek had a poor one but AJ contributed to that

But our game plan of moving the ball quickly was dumb, considering that's what Melbourne wanted us to do. We should have been alot more precise with our kicking, instead of just kicking it quickly to no one, and Melbourne just have repeat forward 50 entries. It was ridiculous. Not sure if the instruction was to get the ball and just play on and kick it aimlessly to the opposition.
It's good to play quick tempo footy, but you also need to take a breath and assess the quick movement isn't working for us, so lets hold the ball a bit more and hit targets....

Enjoy Dee's, as a fully fit, full strength Pies outfit will blow you out of the park next time.
Not so sure.

Demons have an effective defensive plan. Forget the standings.... Pies need to lift and ensure they have a plan against such defense.
