I think it ends up as:

In: Kelly, Wright
Out: Shiel, Phillips, Hind (to sub)

McGrath - Zerk-Thatcher - Kelly
Ridley - Laverde - Heppell
Martin - Caldwell - Durham
Langford - Weideman - Perkins
Menzie - Wright - Stringer
Draper - Hobbs - Merrett
Redman - Snelling - Guelfi - D'Ambrosio
Hind

Looks right except the part about Redman off the bench. Probably Kelly or Durham there instead

I just like having lefties down that side as much as possible haha. Also Duz isn't really playing the same role as Redman

I'M SO EXCITED

I haven't been this nervous / excited for a game in a long time. More than our last final which always had a vibe of non-event (to me at least).

It feels like smashing the Blues on Sunday could turn out be a pivotal moment for the club.

Alternatively, folding up and sucking would be damning us to a bit longer in purgatory.

LET'S DO THIS

Shameless plug - this weeks Bombercast pod is up!
Jeremias from the Carlton board joins to preview the game.

Thanks for the listen!

He was named in the 22 last week too
Last week he was swapped into the sub vest as a late change

I guess if they do that again the most logical thing is to bring Bryan in and have the same number of backs/mids/fwds as last week, but with Wright instead of a small (Shiel).

Or Wanganeen I suppose.

I dunno I feel like Mass playing forward is more interesting

So I suspect it will be
1. Late change with a ruck coming in and Mass/Snello/Hind as sub; or
2. Run out as named and Tex as the sub

Carlton going with 2 rucks (Pittonet and De Koning) makes me think it will be option 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pittonet misses. Voss said a day or 2 ago that he expected him to miss. I think they naming him just in case at the moment or potentially hoping to get us to play 2 rucks (when we shouldnt - let Weid do backup now that 2MP is back).
