Elisabeth Georgostathis and Isabella Eddey named Round Seven
NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star nominees

Western Bulldogs’ Elisabeth Georgostathis and North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ Isabella Eddey have claimed the Round Seven NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star nomination following impressive performances at the weekend.

Elisabeth Georgostathis has made a name for herself under the Friday night lights with a breakout performance against the Cats on Friday. As a hard-working midfielder-forward taken with pick nine in the 2019 AFLW Draft. Georgostathis has not missed a match since making her debut in the opening round of the 2020 NAB AFLW season.

Recruited with North’s top pick at the 2020 NAB AFLW draft, Bella Eddey’s versatility and ability to play in all three lines made her an ever-present across her debut campaign. A good ball user, blessed with pace, Eddey’s disposal efficiency of 84.6 per cent in the 2021 NAB AFLW season ranked second for the team.
