BCCI wouldn't have it.

They've been humiliated every time they've come here for the last century.

Last tour they drew twice, and in hindsight probably should have drawn the series save for a collapse with victory in sight in Adelaide.

Two tours before that, Clarke had to take three wickets in an over at about 6.28pm on day five to earn a series win.

The tour before that, Australia scrounged a draw seven wickets down in the final test to earn a series draw.

Realistically since 2004 only SA and England have out performed India in Australia.

Australia is where it matters though, win here and you earn respect, not an easy thing to do though.

It was an incredibly exaggerated statement.

Although they haven't actually won a series here in 80 odd years.

One of the most incredible stats existing in the game

And they won't anytime soon either, next time they tour they can expect a pace battery of Stark-Hazlewood-Cummins and Pattinson, added bonus with that group is 3 of them can bat allowing us to play a specialist spinner as well.

I prefer India and England equally.

Both conditions are challenging for batting and bowling alike, and both are reasonably competitive in Aus when they feel like it.

Outside of that one series in 2011 england have been bloody awful in Australia since the mid 1980's, those two 5-0 series that book ended that 3-1 win of theirs were brutal beatings.
England and SA will only ever beat us here when we're in transition, we'll beat them in their backyard when their at full strength though.

Good lucky getting them all fit and firing at the same time. Atleast one or two of them will be injured at anyone time.

who said it matters in australia? only for you australians maybe. If you win in India, you will get respect and that is not easy thing to do.

winning matters everywhere.

India would have won a series in australia if your players wouldn't have cheated and steve bucknor wouldn't have given poor decisions in australia's favor.
India will definitely win a test series in australia under kohli if australians do not use unfair practices.

do you even know the meaning of humiliation? humiliation is what your australian team got before this series when they lost 6 consecutive tests in India.
India was robbed off a test series victory in australia and also have couple of drawn series in australia.
India has done reasonably well in australia as compared to other asian teams. Pakistan has not even won a SINGLE test match yet in australia.

We should play both England and India less often. It's bad for Test cricket globally.

I'd rather they set up a proper international Test schedule and reduce these long bilateral series to special tours (similar to the British and Irish Lions in rugby).

It was all very well to constantly play long tours back in the days when there were half a dozen Test nations and one format, but it's just not practical any more. I love a big long meaty series between two top countries as much as anyone, but it's killing the game.

Somewhat harsh to put a decade's worth of defeats to SA as being down to transition. How hard is it to just accept that they've been the better side in the majority of meetings in that period? You could argue they're still transitioning from the Kallis and Smith era (not to mention being without de Villiers and Steyn for the series win this summer)
