Players like Ham, Redman, Ridley, Mutch, Begley are the ones that will see us top 4 in future seasons or not. They are utilities that need to fill gaps and do roles week in week out. They have to run all day and be accountable.

The solid game from BZT, probably means that Hartley is not needed as backup any longer (yet another nail). Hartley is a good player, so hopefully, he finds an opportunity somewhere.

Francis got some great continuity leading into the end of the season and is a spoiling machine.
Redman is great. Hard nut defender who can push through the middle. His disposal is tidy too

Add to that Brown and Smack have been critical with Daniher out.

Begley needs to be playing midfield. Along with Laverde. That should be the focus of their preseasons. We don’t need two undersized key forwards sitting in F50.

Langford as a Brown-style forward who can get up and down the ground when required. Break in case of emergency mid.

Myers is quite clearly at the stage now where he’s comfortable enough with being depth anyway so as long as his next contract reflects that I’m happy enough for him to stay, could even be an option to place him on the rookie list next year.

Ideally you’d be looking around for someone with finals experience with a little bit more versatility in his game to fill that slot though.

Can’t agree with this more but we gave Dea and Baguley deals this year so who would be surprised if we gave Myers another deal.

Depending how many depart you could well see Myers on the list for another year. Whether as a senior or rookie listed player however is the unknown.

Long, Baguely, Lavender are almost all definitely gone, with Dea and McNiece likely additions to that list.

He would be good alongside Hocking in a development role however.
