I think anyone who plays more then 100 games can't really be on the list.

Danny Stanley is another.

Nah, 100 games shows staying power which an average player can have in the right conditions.

Mackay is a fantastic example of that, got a lot of games on potential then having draft sanctions kick in meant we struggled to get anyone outside in for a couple more seasons; helping that games tally.

David Polkinghorn as a kid growing up, always wondered how he got a game...dual premiership player though.

Glen Manton was below average in ability but managed 150+ games thanks to Carlton requiring a spoiling defender (which he did pretty well).

What about Kyle Cheney?

He doesn't really have any standout footballing attributes besides professionalism and attitude, but he doesn't have too many weak attributes either.

He has decent but not exceptional speed, disposal and decision making. Decent size but too small to play as a key defender. Sound defensively but not quite as good a lockdown player as Talia nor as good a rebounder as Laird or Smith.

77 games in ten seasons across three clubs is probably below average, although he was hampered by injuries this year.

Good Nomination. Was he a tagger or a back pocket type? I can't remember what he actually did, other than he was 'tough' and 'workmanlike'.
Drafted as a "dashing half back" but played more as a stopper and then an inside mid/tagger, eventually found his niche as a defensive forward.

Had high hips for his height which gave him poor mobility for a mid-sized player. Very limited but dedicated type, the kind of guy who would be described mostly as a "good clubman".

Ryan Bastinac would be in the mix. No real strengths, but not necessarily any real weaknesses either. If you asked me to tell you the defining characteristics of his game, I would draw a blank.
Very strange one. Burst onto the scene in his first year and is essentially the exact same player all these years later.

Don't know if it has been said because this thread is 10 pages long, but I nominate Shannon Byrnes. 2-time premiership player who played his moments, but never really shined.

Harvey had a heated debate with our recruiting manager , Wanted to take him instead of Fyfe at 20 , And the rest is history
