Public Service Announcement
Just a reminder that there are 10 players that I haven't received an entry for this week and who last week had either Bruce, Ugle-Hagan or both (or in once case JUHx2).

If you end up with a carryover team it means you will receive Duryea as your sub and maybe Wood as well if you need two different subs. That's fine if you want those players but they haven't been terribly popular picks this year ...

At greatest risk are: josh the gent Snarls Barkley TedDougChris and ScottyDogg who all have two places in their team occupied by these players.

PIEMAN RESULTS Round 22 vs Hawthorn

Well that was a miserable day. Five goals was comfortably our worst outing for the year and only the third time we'd failed to kick 10. It was also against a side that had been battling to avoid the wooden spoon until recently and was missing about half a dozen of its best players. Very hard to find any positives.

Substitutes
There were thirteen instances of a substitute being needed, all in the carryover teams of course. All due to Ugle-Hagan and Bruce being out of the side this week. Duryea was the sub for 12 of them and the other one was Wood. The teams needing these subs were businessfish, Charlie Bucket, dish licker, josh the gent, ScottyDogg, StringyDog, theAthenian, Vinegar Mess and VL3OJ.

Pieman Player of the Week

Garcia's solitary goal got him the PPotW but the competition for it wasn't strong today.
Maximum possible score this week was 114 which would have needed a 3x Garcia and any two picks involving Weightman and/or Hannan.



Pieman Player of the Year

No significant changes this week. The fallen warrior Bruce still has a comfortable lead. If today's form is any guide nobody will catch him.



The KELVIN

With the Dogs having only four different goalkickers there certainly weren't any 20 point bonuses on offer this week. This week's Kelvin goes to the all-or-nothing Charlie Bucket (78) who would be grateful to Bont for dishing off the assist for Garcia's goal. That's where all 78 of his points came from. Nobody else got within 30 points of CB. 54Bulldog16 and Doggies_13 tied for second on 44.

It was close at the other end though - 17 teams get zeroes. It was that sort of a day, best consigned to the garbage bin of history.




The PIEMAN

On such a low scoring day you'd expect it to be steady-as-she-goes on the leaderboard but no, we have a new leader for the first time in seven weeks! Congratulations to Floridog who has taken over from Wocka at the top, even if it's only a slender 3-point margin. Although still in third ossie_21 made up a little ground on Wocka too. And weltschmerz has joined 5 others within 80 points of the lead. It's still an open race!

I just realized I'm on 1776 points. Historically important number for a yank like me. But not historically important enough that I want to keep it for the rest of the year.
