PIEMAN RESULTS Rd 15 v West Coast

Brilliant win in the west. Thirteen goals. Could easily have been 20 which would have been party pie time but we'll just have to make do.

Pieman Player of the Week
Our PPotW Bazlenka hadn't kicked a goal for 7 rounds but came back with a vengeance. Macrae hadn't kicked one for 8 rounds but his major put him in second spot this week. Garcia had never kicked one. Bont on the other hand just keeps kicking them. (Unless they are 20m out straight in front of course. Those one are so easy they're beneath a player of his class ... he'd much rather kick one across his body running full tilt away from goals on the boundary line).

Maximum possible score this week was 248 (3x Smith, 2 x Macrae) which makes this week's Kelvin winner's score look pretty good.



Pieman Player of the Year
For the first time in 14 games this season Bruce didn't kick a goal. Naughton and Bont have made some inroads into his lead in the PPotY but he's still comfortably clear in the lead.



The KELVIN
There were fourteen carryover teams this week but only one substitute was required: StringyDog got Bruce in place of the omitted Roarke Smith. Normally that'd be a safe conveyance but today was the first time all year that Bruce has gone goalless.

We have a first-time Kelvin winner this week if I'm not mistaken. DogBites has smashed it out of the park with his 3xBont and 2xBazlenka for a total of 207. Pretty good efforts from bontshow (163) and Jeff 1975 (162) who both had carryover teams. (Hope that makes you feel a bit better Jeff!)

theAthenian (129) wanted 5x Garcia but I was too mean to allow it. It didn't faze him because his replacement picks Naughton and Weightman left him only 11 points short of what a 5x Garcia would have been worth. Only two others cracked the ton.

There were no 20 point bonuses handed out this week.



The PIEMAN
We have a new leader!

No really big scores in the top 10 (dogwatch was best with 111 and Jaxie1 with 99) but Wocka (1370) did enough to earn the maillot jaune this week. Last week's leader SayerTheCreator (1333) has tumbled to third allowing Boyd oh Boyd (1340) to sneak back into second. After that there wasn't a lot of change in the top 10 and the two sharing fourth spot are 64 points adrift of third.

DogBites only went up two places despite his big score of 207 this week but at least he's no longer second last. Bontshow jumped 8 places to 16th and Jeff 1975 jumped 7 places to 18th.
