Have a look at the a few quotes from todays HeraldSun by Mike Sheahan:
Loutish Tarrant saved by Talent

There are more reported sightings of Chris Tarrant out after in Melbourne than there are Elvis in disguise around the globe.Sadly for Tarrant and Collingwood- the reports concerning him are generally on the mark.

..its as if Tarrant is hellbent on discovering just how far he might push the Pie Admin on discipline and image. If he wasnt such a valued commodity he might know the answer by now.As Strict as Malthouse and Maguire like to sound on matters of team and club, they've been around too long to be backed into a corner with a blunt condemnation of misbehaviour.

...When players are as talented as Tarrant they are counselled not cut.
Tarrant continues to be the reluctant footballer, one who would be far happier living a carefree life back in Mildura.Problem is that lifestyle doesnt usually come with $400,000 to spend.

There is a lesson here.
No matter the talent it will be expensive if the talant is not driven by desire.
Another.
If you dont learn from history, you are condemed to repeat it.
To vague, what about
You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink

If a senior player, VFL player or even a potential Father Son draftee doesnt have that deep seeded burning hunger to play at the highest level, he probably wont be a disciplined member of your club, he could require constant maintenace and minding, media spinning and under the table pay offs, probably will bring the club brand into disrepute if not now then in the future.Remember, once a player takes the field in the jumper he is a player of that club, FOR EVER.Even years after he has stopped playing, everytime the media show him in a bad light, say for example going into court on an unfortuante charge, it will be mixed with shots of that player playing for his club.

Thank goodness that couldnt happen at Geelong !!
