I'd say Polec is over his foot issues now. He's barely missed a game since his return in 2016. I still wouldnt offer him 5 years though.

I'd hate to lose Polecat. But if North offered up Preuss...

I still want a draft pick from them if they give a player (Preuss)

maybe Polec + our 2nd 3rd round pick for Preuss and their 2nd round pick (currently 28) .. that way we have 3 picks in the 2nd round of this so called super draft ..

Bit out of left field, would anyone try get Bennel.

Seems to be better off field recently, Freo struggling to get him fit. Massive up side of we get him right, super talent.

Only trains every second day to manage foot loads. Will do for the rest of his career. We're managing him very carefully.

Why don’t we just put Polec on the side of the street with our hard rubbish?

ok (after checking a few things) got back to my original thought - Polec + our first 3rd round pick for Preuss and their 1st pick (currently 10) with slight modification in Preuss instead of pick 28

We had Joel Garner, Cam Hewett and Jimmy Toumpas as our 3 tall defenders at one point in the SANFL. Such a waste of time.

What's the point of having an SANFL side if we don't develop any KP players?

Even up forward is pretty short. We'll most likely have Ladhams (a resting ruck) as our only tall target up there for the rest of the season depending on Marshalls fitness.

this is why we need to get some Developing KPP over the next couple of Trade periods & drafts (here is some players currently on AFL teams lists)

maybe we could trade for Darcey Cameron - Ruck / Forward at the swans (maybe we could use Cam Hewett as part of the trade seeing how his brother is at the swans) that way he could cover for both Ryder / Dixon if they get injured

Brisbane have a number of KPP (every year they have a number come through their academy) .. maybe we could look at one of these players
of contract this year is Josh Walker (197cm KPF / KPD) - 68 AFL games
hasn't played this year Jack Frost (195cm KPD) - 56 AFL games
Currently hasn't played this year Jack Payne (197cm KPD) - 0 AFL games - from the Brisbane academy
Currently hasn't played this year CONNER Ballenden (200cm) - 0 AFL games - from the Brisbane academy
contracted until 2019 Daniel McStay (195cm - KPF / KPD) - 73 AFL games (Kicked 15 goals this year)

(Brisbane have a few more 195cm players coming through their academy this year and the next 5 years and they will need to move on some of their taller players here is their 2018 academy lists - http://www.lions.com.au/news/2017-11-08/lions-academy-2018-lists)

Seeing how we usually do go with ex Richmond players (Schulzy, Whitey etc) maybe we could look at Jacob Townsend (especially if Richmond get the suns Tom Lynch) he isn't a KPF but he is an AFL premiership player and he has played 45 games - He is 187cm hard bodied forward who can do shut down roles on creative defenders, he can play midfield... the main down side is he is 25yrs

we should have in the squad:-

a couple of developing rucks (one or two who can almost step in straight away) - one is currently Hayes, maybe one is Frampton / Ladhams
we need 3 KPF and 3 KPD playing in the AFL (these can be KPP who can play up forward or down back)
we need 3 - 5 KPP developing with the Magpies (a couple up forward and a couple of defenders or who can play both positions)

Recon we defiantly need a KPF and KPD in the draft this year (maybe Rookie or late picks) maybe look at a shoemakers as a unrestricted free agent for depth as well, if Frampton still "isnt ready at the end of the maybe an AFL ready ruck to cover Ryder as well.

Schoenmakers? :drunk:
Rather have Lobbe back tbh.

Is Schoenmakers the most talked about “trade target” in history?

Matthew Pavlich and Nick Holland still leading.

But he has time on his side.

Schoemakers is 28yrs (195cm) and coming close to the end of his career

while Cameron is 23yrs (204cm) and shows potential in the ruck and up forward, so with more experience he can take over from Ryder if he is injured or retires and he can take over from Dixon when he is injured or retires

Darcy Cameron played his first AFL game today against Gold Coast. He had 3 touches. May as well just play what we have.
