They were starving, and I wouldn't let HOMP get chips because she had a look at the weight loss thread in the nest and has resolved, again, to lose 20 kilos. I offered them some of my rice-cracker-encrusted peanuts on the way home, but they weren't keen.

But even if they'd announced a free feast of vegetarian Irish stew followed by a chocolate platter, we wouldn't have muscled in. I'm sure the players dread the fans getting close to them most of the time, and we wouldn't like to impose.

Whaaattt! Yeah, he "got a lot of it" - like 37 possessions! He had 22 to half time, dominated the clearances and landed the ball on Dawes head 4 or 5 times for his goals. Plus he laid abour 5 bruising tackles. He was awexsme and easily BOG. Was sent to full forward for a rest in the last quarter- no doubt with next Friday in mind - unless MM has taken leave of what wit he has left. And as for this "lacks polish" stuff - Jaysus, the kids is pure silk with his hands and easy as you like off either foot.

Geeze afetr the weekend i had, im hoping all of that is as true as possible, hopefully stanners geta game this week.

I'll take a guess and say Barham got around 20 or low 20's. I'll guess McCarthy at between 15 and 20. These are just guesses and I didn't take count.

Just to put this in perspective we decided to count Stanners possessions today and we counted in excess of 35...... He spent a bit of time on the bench and also up forward and down back so who knows how many he may have got if he played in the mid field all day.
So when you compare those stats. I would have given him BOG> Dawes was great but the delivery was exceptional. I hope MM watched the whole game>>>>>>

HUN today said Presti aggravated his groin injury and hence was a late withdrawal from the game.

Could anyone in attendance at the game please let me know the manner of McCarthy's goals? Was he resting forward as Pendles does on occasion, or were they running shots through the midfield? Cheers.

Only one seemed to be as a genuine forward , when he judged the flight of the ball better than his opponent , and nudged him out to take a simple grab 30 metres in front. The other one was a mark about 60 out on the flank where he received late contact and got 50 , the other was a great snap from 40 out , following the ball down from the midfield.
