N.Brown with some pivotal late spoils in one-on-one contests this qtr.

Siren sounds.

Pies win by 10pts.

13.12 (90) vs 13.22 (100).

Accuracy runs throughout the team.

Good first win of the season, with plenty of players out too.

Standouts from the radio call were O'Bree, Goldsack, Buckley, Cook and Dawes up forward.

I'm hoping the call was right and Ben Reid smashed Jack Watts.

Back to Vic Park next Saturday against Bendigo.

L.Brown said its not through a lack of practice

Dawes-in
Fraser-out

I'd prefer Dawes in and Leroy out.

Leroy's "hardness" simply isn't enough.

At least Fraser is capable of taking shots on goal and is far more reliable than Leroy.

Also, I don't like the idea of no actual back-up ruck.

How is Fraser more reliable than Leigh Brown? Fraser has dished up nothing but awful performances all season so far.

And Fraser is as good as no actual back up ruck.

He offers literally nothing to the club on the field now.

DTM just exploded as Dawes took a pack mark and kicks the goal to put us 7 points up.

Yep I was there, and he took quite a few pack marks in the last quarter

We have to reward Dawes with a call up. 3 goals isn't huge but the last couple of weeks he has been good enough to take the place of either brown or Fraser . Same with Reid he was good against the dee's ( ok he didn't play on any gun forward) and today it sounds like he played well on Watts.

bests are always a bit unreliable but would have thought the Dons supporters were hoping Howlett, McVeigh, Davey and Prismall showed some form.

From our 2nds it was good to see OBree handle the demotion well. Also good to hear Brown was strong and Reid played well.

I with everyone else Dawes for a callup and relaxed as to whether its Brown or Fraser.

Brown out, not Fraser. Dawes can have a similar physical presence as Brown and be better in attack.

Fraser needs to play, showed a couple of good signs up forward (better than Brown), his ruck work was ok and hopefully his around the ground work improves with more games under his belt.

The big selection dilemma is our 2nd tall defender as Essendon has Gumby, Hurley and Williams... and who they replace.

Neither actually plays tall, so we don't need to bring anyone in.

Harry/Maxwell/Toovey etc...would all be able to play on them comfortably.

Presti to Hurley, obviously.

You're speaking like you are expecting the ball to actually get inside their forward 50.

The Rucks Did well, Wood did well in his 1st Hit Out and Shae did a good job an Kicked a Goal and has learn to not kick into the man on the mark;)

Listening to the radio O'bree butchered the ball a fair bit swoop.

Please explain these "good signs" you saw from Fraser on Friday night. His inability to clunk marks when opposed to much smaller opponents is becoming a ridiculous joke. He does not crash packs to at least bring our crumbers into the contest. He is the weakest big man target I've seen at Collingwood. He has kicked one goal in four games playing as a forward with the occasional pinch hit in the ruck. Not good enough.

There was a big crowd at Casey Fields, it was very hard to get a park to be honest. Just when I thought I'd found the dodgiest, most on-the-fly carpark I could, on a bank of tan bark about 10cm from a gum tree... I was proven wrong.

I walked out to my car after the game, and noticed another car parked on the outside of the gum tree, basically sticking straight out into the lane. I tried to remove some of the gum leaves jammed in my window, with my car door open, and as I did this the owner of the vehicle approached. "Sorry, Harry", I said, closing my door.

"Nah, you're right mate", replied the great man.

Seems Harry can be creative even in the car park. :p

3 very important names among the best IMO.

Dawes, Brown and Goldsack.

When we begin to play teams with two power forwards i.e. Brisbane, Browny will be required thus good form is very important.

Goldsack is also best 22 for mine. In fact, I think he is better than Toovey in shut down and rebound. Very pleased he is putting pressure on spots from underneath. His time will come.

Dawes- for obvious reasons he needs to play well with Jack out and Leroy offering us next to nothing at the minute. IMO, he should replace Leroy this week in the Anzac Day clash. It's either Jack or Dawes this week for mine. At least one has to play.

Good to see SOB respond well too.
