Yep.
1. State.
2. PSA
3. WAFL
Can only play one game per week.

The one game a week rule is only the wafl and state rule though? plenty of kids play PSA and club or not? Are you just referring to the PSA firsts? Also, why would PSA have let Sharp play Sat morning after the Friday night state game? Sure PSA knew the state game was on?

as in development at wafl? I see what you mean. they'll let them play state games but not wafl. but sharp injured himself at last Saturdays PSA game the day after the state match on the Friday night. do you think that was his choice to play on the Saturday?
Sharp injured his foot against Wesley the week before. He didn't play any footy last week. They won't let the boys play more than one game of footy a week. The academy dictates where and when they can play.

My understanding is that if you have played a game, whether State or Club (community or WAFL or PSA) you can't play a second game within that week.
What game you play comes down to whether you're playing State, PSA, WAFL or Community.
State>WAFL, PSA, Community
PSA>WAFL
WAFL>Community
Unless a deal is brokered to "release" a PSA player to play WAFL.

Does anyone know which Under 18's state games will be telecast on Foxtel or elsewhere this year? They didn't do all of the WA games last year.

did he play today? Any news from the 16s or 18s game? The futures played as well and some missing from the Futures games due to PSA and the state 16s playing today. Weird weekend to have Futures although it gave others a chance to have a run I guess but it then flowed back into club footy as well with some kids not playing their Sunday club game.

He didn't play today. Ran water as has been sick. He will still be selected for chamionships. 18s beat Swans reserves by about 8/9 goals.

State 18s were bloody good they came away with a win. State 16s have some work to do

Novel idea for that EF v Perth colts game be played in Geraldton on Sat. EF played up to 17 odd local Gero boys, giving these kids a fantastic opportunity to play WAFL level under age footy in their own backyard in front of family and friends. Perth won by 2-3 pts in the end, pity no stats available on the WAFL site from the game. Hopefully more clubs can expose their country boys to such an experience once a year at least.

From that list Matthew Johnson seems to be the only one playing colts already. Has played three games and from his stats looks to be holding his own avg 16 touches and should keep his spot for now.

Jayden Crane is another U16 playing colts.

With the WAFL colts lists out for their respective matches this long weekend, folk will have a better idea of WA u18 line up for round 1 in the carnival.....from EF perspective Jackson, Sharp, Rivers, Ruscoe and Warner look like to be missing from that EF side to play SF.....surprised B Walker listed tho for EF, thought he would of made WA 25 for game 1.

I assume that top agers would be preferred over bottom agers so that teams can maximize their exposure of this years draft talent.

Brandon will get his chance.

From West Perth. Jaxon Prior, Zac Patterson and Ben Johnson are missing.

I read somewhere that 19 players will be held out of wafl for training and the remainder will be selected later.

Yep read that too.....that means 6 positions are up for grabs then....bit of a shoot out then this round of colts footy for those remaining positions
