Here is mine...realistically speaking

Pick 11- Tom Swift. Has the combination of speed and skill, and the Pies need more midfield quality. Hasn't played for sometime due to injury but absolutely dominated the U16 champs in 2006, and lead in every major midfield stat including clearances. I rate him higher than Steele.

Pick 27- Jayden Post. Around 195 cm and was Best and Fairest for the Western Jets. He can play either ends of the ground with defence is strength. Led the TAC cup in contested marks, has a good leap and has good balance. A bit skinny but a couple of pre-seasons should fix that.

Pick 45- Matt DeBoer. Hard to see him sliding to this pick, but is a tad older than most and does have dodgy kicking skills. However is a true ball winner with a good size and has great qualities in speed and versatility.

Pick 46- Daniel Hanneberry. Well we need at least one bottom ager:p. Hanneberry can run, run and run. Also is a very good left foot kick, and we have realised over the years we need a player who can hit a target.

Which players do you want...realistically?

I won't go as far as naming names because there are so many combo I'd like to see. The draft on paper is so strong.

What I will say is the type of player.

Pick 11 - Outside midfielder. Rich, Ziebell, Sidebottom are generally inside players vying for top 10, we could probably snag the 2nd best outside midfielder here depending on whether Hartlett is gone, and he most likely will be.

Pick 29 - Inside midfielder. There will still be a few inside midfielders left around this pick. Let's hope Zaharakis falls this low. He can play IM or OM.

Pick 45 - Another midfielder. Don't mind what type, but it would be nice if he is tough and hard at it.

Pick 46 - Developmental KPP or Ruckman.

That Would be a Great Draft.

Can't Really have Names because there are so Many Possible Players.

Give 1st 2 Picks with names.

Pick 11 - Tengrove,Swift,Sidebottom,McKernan
Pick29 - Post,Smith,DoBoer,Roughead

2 pick in the 3rd I don't have enough info yet

I'm really not informed enough to make selections.:o
Read a bit about Swift, but a big risk in the last uncompromised draft.
I like Blease, but his kicks/game was pretty low apparently.
I just hope whoever we get ,turns out elite with a long career and a couple of flags.

In Hine we trust.:thumbsu:

Have you looked it up? Im pretty sure he is averaging over 17p's per game, which is a fairly good stat for a bottom aged kid with his 'hurt factor'

Against WA he had 8 disposals (2 were in junk time).

Even at TAC Cup level he only averaged around 12-15 mark, I did look it up but I've since forgotten.

pick 11-trengrove,swift,hill

29-smith,hannebury,okeefe

45-post,sloane,blight
46-any ruck available,:p

I would think Swift is a massive risk with his injury history.

I have a feeling pick 11 will be either Trengove or Sidebottom.

As The Royal Sampler has suggested, Hine has a habit of going with local kids more often than not.

#11 - Ziebell, Sidebottom, Trengove

#29 - Hannebery, Smith, Strauss

#45/46 - Roughead, Post, Shuey, Sengstock etc. etc.

Would Love Roughead and Post at Pick 45 and 46 but Doubt that they would last to then:(

Melbourne will be in the market for a young ruckman. Roughead might head there in round 3.

Redden might be available if we look at a ruckman.

I have Roughead going to the Dees at Pick 17 in my Mock Draft.

Redden would be a Chance and Also Zack Clarke would be another one to look at for Ruckman

Ruckmen don't usually go all that early in National Drafts, especially when there's a few available. Last year was talked up bigtime for rucks and yet Kreuzer and Lobbe were the only two to go first round, with Dawson Simpson going second round. Connolly, Sullivan, Shaw, etc. went later and Renton wasn't picked up at all.

With Naitanui, McKernan, Trengove, Vickery, Roughead, Redden and Clark all in the draft pool, I wouldn't be that surprised if Roughead was still there by our 3rd rounders.

Good Call and If Roughead was there at Pick 45 and Pick 46 Hope we Pick him

Heres what i'd like to see:

11 - Swift (unless Zeibell or Hartlett fall)
29 - Suban (or Hill/Robinson if unavailable)
45 - Zaharakis (or Hanneberry/Banner if unavailable)
46 - Post (or Redden if unavailable)

Rookie Keefe
Rookie Reed

Be interesting to see how it all works out on draft day :thumbsu:.
