Yet NZ is in with a shot of winning the whole tournament by being part of the mix at the semis, whereas we got knocked out in straight sets

That rubs more salt into it doesn't it. Didn't realise that New Zealand had the better NRR which means that you are dead on.

A result either way and we would still be in it.

Its what happens when your captain keeps the pressure on with the slow bowlers who are doing the damage and bowls them all out so the opposition end up with no hope when the pace returns

Both India AND South Africa are choking teams!

Australia is the only team in World Cricket that doesnt choke, we dont lose in a heartbreaking manner! Its the other teams that choke when they play us because we are the ones applying the pressure.

We played one good game the whole tourney, against a kiwi team that at the time was reeling from the Christchurch quake.

Lets be realistic if it was still the super 6 format we would have struggled to make the next round and certainly would have struggled to make the semi's.
