It's lucky we have good depth, really going to be tested this week. If Stevo's tweet is true then it's:

Out:

Mclean, Roughy, Hamling, Honey

In:

Hunter, Crameri, Prudden, Talia

Still some nice ins, Prudden as sub.

I don't mind that. Roughy the big out obviously.

Losing Hamling does hurt (I didn't think I'd say that in his first year for us) but Talia is probably the biggest like-for-like swap that we have.

Would have liked to have had Roughy in this week, especially to defend Dixon and Lynch. We are starting look small now without him and Toyd. Then again, small was best against Carlton....

I will be glad to see Talia come back in again, I love that we suddenly seem to have quite good KPD depth now. Everything Bev touches and our recruiters get is turning to gold at the moment. Big match for young Prudden, I hope he can put the injury issues behind him and come out firing!

Yeah I don't want to bring in Cordy or Campbell just to have a 2nd ruck. Minson should be fresh enough and has rucked solo plenty of times. Big Red can give him a chop out when he's tired and will help get him into the game a little up the ground and smash a few more midfielders into the ground.

When Red goes into the ruck, we can still have Stringer, Crameri as fwd targets (and Minson if resting there) with dangerous small Fwds, Dahl, Hunter, Dickson, Daniel,Grant etc buzzing around. Gold Coast are likely to have a few big boys so wouldn't surprise me to see Crameri or Red play a little down back on the weekend too, probably towards the end of quarters. If Talia and Sid can hold the fort, Wood, Murphy, JJ, Prudden, Moyd should kill them going the other way.

If we can win this game I'll be mighty impressed.

Why would you say that? They are bottom 2.. You should be saying.. "If we lose, i will be bloody pissed off ! " If we cant beat them, we don't deserve to play finals.. Simple as that

Unless you are being sarcastic of course :)

Haha they haven't yet, still conjecture but Stevo tweeted Toyd, Hamling and Roughy in doubt
Ah, OK. Things are being written here like they're official! Was searching everywhere for the teams! :D

They've been ravaged by injuries, and they've now got most of them back and a huge win under their belt. It's also in their home state in familiar conditions.

On the other hand, we're missing Boyd, Roughead, Hamling, Liberatore, Hrovat, Honeychurch and McLean, all of whom would either be playing or named as an emergency.

I'll be just as impressed as Fronk if we win. We're up against it, from my perspective.

Agree. Expecting a loss. Hoping for a win.

You can add Fletcher Roberts to your signature list too!

I thought Lachie was very good on the weekend and has been solid before that as well. I initially had Hrovat in but since learning he will miss 1-2 I'd have Hunter in just over Dale for Honeychurch
I watched Hrovat closely on Saturday afternoon and noticed that he is an very selfish player ........ especially around goals. Disappointing because there were a few times when the best option was to get the ball to someone in a better position, but he blazed away and missed.

Indeed! Will do so when I next jump on the computer.

I'm stoked with this one, too. Have been on the Fletch bandwagon from day one.

Agree. I will be pleasantly surprised if we win this. I consider this a tougher assignment than Geelong at Skilled Stadium next week.

So is Prudden our 8th debut this year?

Boyd, Hamling, Webb, Dale, Biggs, McLean, Daniel - have I missed any others?

If Hamilton and Zaine Cordy debut this year that would make 10 debuts. That would be getting close to some kind of record for a non-new-expansion club, wouldn't it?

Us older farts remember 10 debuting in our colors Round 1 1983 . We've now got 6 players who've made their league debuts this season.
That's outstanding and a credit to the coaching staff.
