Absolute bullshit from Pyke. He's panicked after a couple of losses and brought in an experienced plodder who offers nothing.

Douglas has been hopeless, arguably worse than the Crouch brothers given he's an experienced mid, yet keeps his spot.

Thommo can't chase/spread hard and is exposed the other way defensively far too easily which has been exactly our problem lately.

No doubt B.Crouch was brought in too early but they did so they had to back him in for longer.

I can't understand why we would replace two mids with a slow half-back with shocking disposal/decision-making and zero agility/awareness. He won't help our hardness at the contest in the midfield and he won't help us chase/tackle in the midfield either.

Terrible selection.

If CEY can't get a game this week, he will never get a game. I can't understand why VB's in. Leadership is the only reason, that's all the comes to mind!

Absolutely smacks of an inexperienced coack hitting the panic button.

Why oh why can't we have a coach who backs himself instead of going back to the "experienced player = good" well.

So disappointed, CEY in for dougie or thommo was a must.

This is on Fagan too, he should tell Pyke to build a side for the future, and that scraping into the finals each year with plodders acheives nothing.

Also I'd like to make a correction to the AFC article. Nathan van Berlo is not a defender.

To be honest I'm not pissed off at the ins, Lyons deserves the play, and I guess van Berlo can play a role no worse than some of the other senior players, but the non dropping or resting of guys like Jacobs, Thommo, Douglas and Smith is beyond piss weak. If ever there was a game to rest some players, this was it. No foresight, no vision, no premierships - The AFC way.

My only guess could be we have certainly been lacking on field leadership the last couple of games and that is really the only thing Vb excels at these days....

Sick of hearing this dribble, VB has shit onfield leadership.

Has no one watched the last 7 years how we have performed in big games, when the going got tough, no one stood up including V,B Thommo and Dougie. Sides would kick 5 or 6 in a row and we wouldn't give a yelp.

Wigg is close but not a "stop gap" that VB is. Seen as long term.
