They showed Jack Graham's playlist.
Pleased to see he enjoys Hall and Oates.
I think Nank does too.
I was surprised because I thought younger people wouldn't have heard of them.

They beat us yes!
But back to that post about innovating to stay in contention for GF flags...where is the evidence of their geelol's innovation?!?
It doesn’t have to be innovation, evolution as a team is just as important. That can just be changing players and adapting your style to suit.
Our innovation was borne of necessity with the players we had. It was questioned at the time of it would be good enough to win a Premiership and I think teams thought they could beat us by just being better at their own style. We won the Premiership and proved last year that out team and style had to be taken seriously, teams came up with tactics to beat us and it has been further exposed by our injuries.
Get a few players back and we will be much more competitive and I’m sure the club is looking to the future with new recruits and the shape of the team going forward, but understandable we can’t change completely over night.
At the moment I think we are just doing what we can with the cattle left to try and get wins where we can, if we can get players back and get into the finals we will see if we are able to change a few things to combat any tactics to negate our game style.

I agree, there have been some good opposition supporters I’ve met in there. But lately it seems to be a sport to carry on like a flog and wind up as many Richmond supporters as possible which kind of ruins the experience for those paying good money to be there.

I get that the club makes good money from guest passes because they don’t really seem to want to police them, but shouldn’t they be just that- passes for guests? I’ve lined up to get in to games and watched everyone around me scanning printed guest passes. Very few actual 3121 members in sight. So at what point does the club actually say hang on, we are pissing off our actual members for the sake of a $70 guest pass here? And I know most in there pour a fair bit of coin into the club- I pay for a family membership and my kids sponsor a player each so if we are talking about membership yield I’m on the hook big time.

And good luck with security, they don’t seem to give a **** anyway. They’re very reluctant to act on anything, even if you report it to them.
Security are there to eject supporters that call the maggots what they are!!

I don't see it with geelol...

I don't think they are as good in quality as the premiership era.
Bartel, Ling, Selwood, Ablett, Johnson, in peak form.
Not by a long way (you can throw in Scarlett, Enright and Chapman too if you like...and Ottens).

Yes. They had a terrific list.
So many great players.
Bartel was brilliant.
Geelong doesn't bother me, to be honest.
I just ignore them.
They held Collingwood goalless in the final quarter of the 2011 Grand Final to win so that is enough for me.

Commiserations on the loss.

Here are the midfield frequency stats from the game. If you haven't seen one of these posts before, this is an overall summary of how often your players started as one of the 5 mids (inside + wings) at bounces.

Overall Summary - 22 Bounces

Cotchin 14
Naish 14 wing
Prestia 14 (1w)
Rioli 12 wing
Graham 11 (1w)
Stack 5
Edwards 3
Butler 2 wing
Townsend 2
Caddy 1
Baker 1

Rucks:
Soldo 17 (Stanley 17)
Caddy 5 (Ratugolea/Taylor 5)

1st Half - 10

Cotchin 9
Martin 8
McIntosh 8 wing
Graham 7
Naish 6 wing
Prestia 5
Rioli 4 wing
Butler 2 wing

2nd Half - 12

Martin 9
Prestia 9 (1w)
Naish 8 wing
Rioli 8 wing
McIntosh 6 wing
Cotchin 5
Stack 5
Graham 4 (3i, 1w)
Edwards 3
Townsend 2
Baker 1

Soldo 9
Caddy 3

Notes:
- The return of Caddy in an unopposed 2nd ruck role for the first time since Rd 16, 2017. This marked his 2nd ruck appearance this season in analysed games after a token start in Rd 7.
- Most ever appearances for Rioli in analysed games and only the 2nd time he has enough starts to reach double figures - the other match being Rd 16, 2017 against St Kilda: Menadue playing wing was BOG to 1/2 time and Rioli was having a stinker, so Hardwick shifted Menadue back and put Rioli in his place for the 2nd half instead.
- Surprisingly with Ellis out, Baker who has been the preferred wing reliever this season since returning (bar when Menadue was playing), didn't get a single start in the role.
- Only the 2nd of the 9 games analysed this season where Higgins hasn't had a single midfield start - the other being the Rd 9 Hawthorn clash.
- No rotations for McIntosh in the last - I presume he switched roles with Stack, who played the last term as an inside mid

IN: Broad, Ellis
OUT: Dusty, Butler

Well tiger fans, we gave it our all, dont think we have anything left in the reserves to compensate the injures. With dusty out I've given up all hope for us this season. I REALLY hope we win this week but I doubt it. But we will always have 2017. We might have to wait another 36 until we see it again.

Farewell Soilders, it's been a pleasure.

I can see why a lot of people hate Chris Scott.
The way he speaks, the crazy comments, and so on.
A lot of Geelong fans I remember were upset by the axing of former premiership players.
Scott has a lot of enemies, hiding in plain sight.
Geelong is sailing fine at the moment but the enemies will come out of the woodwork if he flops, it is human nature.

Dusty out?

What can the coaches do with everyone injured we have to put him where he can fill the gap

Agreed it’s not as easy as it sounds , but we have a huge upside this year, as in we have been working hard on the kids and giving them invaluable game time in the seniors. If we can stay in the hunt for finals we will know who’s who in the zoo and l think we will be alright.

I hope Menadue is among the inclusions.
He played in the rounds 8, 9, 10 wins and then was omitted.

So get ready tonight guys footy classified what's gone wrong with tigers Lloyd to analyse us.Yeah it's fine pies and bombers when they got injuries. Not blaming all on injuries as game plan issue to and a few out of form ,but we have been hit hard and I'm talking A graders credit were we are.

Their biggest innovation was improving their small forwards with Miers and Ablett who can both rotate through the guts if they intend to. They can both win their own ball and wtf kick goals. They’re both clean and dangerous and need constant attention.
We have tackling small forwards who really only specialise in tackling and chasing.
Their other improvements are making Tom Hawkins more mobile and he’s not playing the deep stay home forward anymore. The Rat and Stanley combination are both improvements on their previous less mobile ruck stocks and the can both be handy up forward.

Yep, plus they have injected some pace and pressure into their fwd line (you're welcome Geelong).
Small tweaks to an already good side and hey presto...premiership favourites.
The thing with our small fwds are yes, as you say, they are there to tackle pressure and gain free kicks or at least cause a dump kick. This worked for us with Rance and Vlaus and Grimes setting up defensively and causing a turnover. Re-enter the 50 and go again. It was a war of attrition. No Rance, Astbury in and out, no Short and relying on kids to A) apply that pressure and B) set up perfectly behind the ball fell apart.
I think our game plan stands up with a full side....but relies on class and leadership.

I hope Lloyd says we need a rebuild.

Last time he said that, we came out and won the premiership.

I think there's a reason Lloyd is in the media and not in a football department somewhere. ;)
