Smith and Fog aren't going anywhere imo. Keath needs to be retained but likely gone. As for the others wouldn't have an issue with any of them leaving. Just hope Atkins is the first priority in moving.
Nah keep Brouch.
Smith and Fog are non-negotiable keeps.
Have to keep at least 1 of Keath and Hartigan. I prefer keeping Keath because he's good but if we're going full rebuild maybe cashing in on his higher value is better.
Betts will still be a threat, don't play him every week and give him a coaching role for the young kids. Be s**t for the club to trade him

With 15 wins & 1 draw, Adelaide is the least dominant team to have won the minor premiership in the last decade. Every other minor premier has won at least 17 H&A games.

2009 - St Kilda - 20 wins
2010 - Collingwood - 17 wins, 1 draw
2011 - Collingwood - 20 wins
2012 - Hawthorn - 17 wins
2013 - Hawthorn - 19 wins
2014 - Sydney - 17 wins
2015 - Fremantle - 17 wins
2016 - Sydney - 17 wins
2017 - Adelaide - 15 wins, 1 draw
2018 - Richmond - 18 wins
2019 - Brisbane - 16 wins (with 1 round to play)

Hahahahahahaha, how good :D

Come on mate. You surely didn't think this wouldn't be manipulated for an end result that has already been worked out before the review. They will likely use this review as justification to extend Burton's tenure at the club.

I said earlier that I expected something like this to happen... but surely they couldn't actually be that arrogant and stupid... surely?

Butts is the one to take over from Keath or Talia by the time they are 30. But we need another young KPD.

I am not adverse to trading out BCrouch. But it should be for something decent.

Personally think you add some midfield class to the Crouchs and Sloane you have a fairly decent midfield.

But since there is no SA player that fits that profile we will never be able to trade one in.

I agree that we need to draft another KPD in the next year or 2 but they generally take a few years to develop. I think a 2nd KPD is a fairly easy position to find a backup for a few years when Talia is ready to retire. By then hopefully Butts is ready to take the main mantle with Doedee as the 2nd tall/intercepting defender.

Plenty of teams have found a 2nd KPD in a state if we needed to as backup. Gold Coast picked up Hombsch and Sam Collins last year who would both have been ok to fill that roll for a few years whilst we developed someone else.

No way would I do that deal unless we get a much better pick than he's worth. 1st or 2nd rounder.

Especially if we're paying part of his salary.

Even more than that, we need to consider whether we want to make a flag competitor a better team.

Surely the $1.2m we suppsedly have for Grundy would make SA Great for Cognelio or Whitfield?

Why haven't we had a crack at Cog?

Brad crouch on 5aa just knocked the rumour of him leaving on the head again.
From what I was told, I wouldn't 100% rule it out happening, but he won't be the one initiating the move and he does want to stay. All this talk about him going to St.Kilda, Richmond, Carlton etc is from his manager soliciting offers since he's a RFA next year and they are gauging his worth around the league.

The question will be if we want to pay that asking price next year and if we're not then they may look at moving him now while they control the situation.

Cos it would be laughed at. He has no SA connection and there are ten clubs in Victoria to choose from.

This is where the lack of our State footy system to develop elite talent bites.

Your not with the programme are you, its a rumour thread, Rucci has publicly stated it will KPMG according to Anzacpaul

I stated previously that if Richmond used Earnst and Young we might use one of the other big accountancy firms

Do you think Richmond made an error in using Earnst and young before they grabbed their premiership glory

If your answer is yes they shouldn't have, I suppose you are right and YOU don't think we should use an firm like that

But it appears to have worked for the tigers

I don't know where to begin. (And yes, other BFers, I know it's pointless)

Yes, it's a rumour thread. Yes, Rucci's rumour is that it will be KPMG. Or it could be PwC, or Ernst & Young, or Deloitte... Which firm, is not relevant to what we're talking about. You have been persisting with this misunderstanding of the nature of such a review, equating it to an accounting audit or at least over-emphasising the relevance of "reviewing results", apparently based on your view that these are all "accounting firms". This is the point I made in my post, that is the misunderstanding you were persisting with in the post I quoted / replied to.

Is it really that hard to follow the thread of the discussion / argument?

- and with that, I'm out.

No E&Y, and absolutely no Deloittes

Get KPMG, and if they're already our auditors, get PWC!!

Let's be honest, they are all hopeless. You get 1 partner and 6 grads. The Grads do 90 percent of the work which is mostly copied and edited from other engagements to fit.

They would do much better to engage specialist consultants than waste time on these guys.

If they were going to go down that road, I'd atleast go to a McKinsey or BCG.

We should still have a crack - even if it is just to drive his price up and mess with the Vic Clubs.

You can be out as much as you like, its your prerogative

the discussion with accountancy firms was brought up because of Richmonds use of them, but hey, you think they were wrong in using one, and you can have that opinion , they may have been better using Malcolm blight or buck cunnigham but they didn't

Ruuci has rumoured we are

How will they do a review? How any accountancy firm will do one, Ive used Jennifer Ma before so I know how she operates, but Im sure you know Con if your position is as you say

I agree with you but it seems to have worked for richmond
