Leaves Suns with 1, 2, 20, 25, 32. 5 new players + Greenwood, Ellis.


We use 5, 15, 44 in the draft. Bring in 3 kids + Taylor.

Papley supposedly loves the Swans, just wants to be closer to home for family reasons. I'm sure we can sort something out. Maxfield was playing out of Sydney in his final year to be closer to his children

I am happy for the club to give Papley extra time down in the Melbourne if he needs it. Just to keep him happy for another year.

We have had players take time off for personal or family reasons before. Surely there will be some flexibility even if it means he misses some games or training.

What would be worse is paying through the absolute roof. We had a maximum, we offered it. What do you want us to do exactly?

Do you really want us giving the equivalent of upwards of 3-4 first rounders because that’s what they wanted.

Depends what we offered, but if we didn't offer much more than 9+25 I'll be pissed. Also we could have gone elsewhere to improve the list, but we put all our eggs in one basket and didn't pull it off. We have clear holes which we all agree on and didn't fix anything. Dreadful.

100 percent but Taylor is not a patch on Jones imo so the list may have just got a little poorer.

How is 9+25 a bad offer? A top 10 pick and an early second for a bloke that hasn’t played much lately....that’s more than fair.

Happy with Taylor it’s an astute acquisition.

Very interesting as we in the past have not rated picks maybe its changed with Darlymple? wonder if Ireland was still in charge if things would of been different.
